This place has provided hours of enjoyment for me and my entire family.
I hate to see it turn into a ghost town.

Hi out of the blue, just checked my account, and I don't have a CC on file and my mouth will be finally shushed here come tomorrow night But on to other and brighter places.
This has been my online home for close to 3 years. I feel like they are kicking me out for no good reason.
Oh well, it's AW's perogotive. I won't relinquish my CC to chat and that's that

Wish I could but I really don't see how haveing my CC# will make me behave.
If you can find your way to Barry's Bar--you'll find lots of the same posters there--plus there are other boards where familiar faces will be found.

Zazzie, and I think I'm paranoid. I am a smiling sleeping baby compared to how AW has handled competition to this chat board for about a year or so.
It is rediculous. And their final clap down on posters to register CC # is the final ultimate slap in the face.
I have learned so much from this board--thanks to the helpful other posters.
Will lurk here after tomorrow midnight--can't help myself--as I said--this has been my online home.
Moving is so stressful.
It's going to be tough not to answer a question I feel competent to answer.
Or an opinion that I just have to voice.
Where are we Survivor 3 devotees going to chew the fat and disect the last espisode?!!!
AW--one last plea---please reconsider.

For me, it's not so much the issue of providing my credit card nummber. It's simply that I feel the quality of the discussions around here will take a nosedive once access is restricted, since many people DO object to providing a credit card.
I also get the feeling that what AW is really doing is trying to restrict the use of their message board to those people who actually use their services [i.e., those people who already have a CC on file with them for other stuff]. I suppose I can't fault them for this, since it is their message board and all. But, since I do not use AW's services, I guess I don't really belong here.
In closing, I just have to say...

I think it is short sighted because if anything their for pay services have come to peoples attention because people came to use the boards by word of mouth.
I really doubt that much traffic went the other way - that someone signed up for services and then discovered there was a board.
If the services were as good as the board I would be using them.
