For those of you who will be leaving AW after tonight, here is how to close your account and have all personal information removed from AW's database should you choose to do so.
Our site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us to the point where we request information about the visitor. However, if the user decides at any time that s/he no longer wishes to receive future communications users may remove their information from our database by sending an email to [email protected].
Make sure you send it from the email address you have registered at AuctionWatch (to check which email account you use, click on the My Account tab top right and select Personal Information). You will receive email notification when the deed is done.
I closed my personal eBay-related account the other day This is part of the email I received from one of the greatly unappreciated CS Reps:
If your experience with AuctionWatch.com was unsatisfactory, we hope that you will provide us with some feedback so that we may prevent future occurrences of a similar nature.
After I finished LMAO, I couldn't resist. I HAD to reply:
I am the former Moderator, MichelleG. "Unsatisfactory" doesn't begin to cover it
Consider this Public Service Announcement

Thanks everyone - just trying to be helpful to the very end. It's all info readily avaible on site but it's not necessarily easy to find. After wandering the AW Halls alone for so many, many nights, I know where most of the bodies are buried and the good stuff is hidden
It sure is weird to post in this "insignificant grey" though!
katssimi What makes you think I'm not there already?
This post in no way violates the confidentiality clause in my AW contract
*Way, waaay too many smilies

You helped this newbie many, many times - I would have been lost without the guidance you gave me in my early ebay /AW days. Thank you for everything and my best wishes to you.
