I've given a few minutes thought to what I wanted to say, on this, the Eve of The Great Demise of AW (or the boards anyway.) I make no claims as to the importance of my thoughts, or to their eternal significance. Nevertheless, here they are.
To start off, I'm going to miss everyone who posts here. I'm not going to try and name names, because I would surely miss someone and I wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Whether or not I agreed with your politics or religious views, I will miss you. You have provided me with advice on kids, help with the auction world, condolences when I lost my Dad, ideas that provoked my thoughts, balance for my admittedly Right Wing views, recipes for my boring kitchen, and many more things I wouldn’t have time to list.
Huge At-A-Boy to all moderators, past and present. I would not have wanted your job for all the tea in China. For the most part you all did a bang up job, and added humor while you wielded your weapons of mass destruction. It is mostly because of your departure that I too have decided to leave. If you were staying, most likely I would have seen fit to pony up my CC number in order to continue to post here. However, the boards without moderation will soon become the playground of bullies, and that isn't something I'm willing to put up with. Not because I need a protector, but because you helped keep order here so adult conversations could take place. I wish each and every one of you nothing but the best as you go on in your lives. I also hope that this decision of AW’s hasn’t caused undo hardship on any of you financially.
And finally, acknowledgement that this new turn of events is a small burp in the happenings of this world we live in. While I will miss the support, and I’ll have to change my daily habits, my life will hardly notice the change. It pisses me off, but it won’t prevent my sleeping this evening. It really has, as mentioned earlier, no eternal significance.
Hug your kids, your pets, your partners, and I’ll see whomever on the other boards. TTFN

Meya - Once again I'd like to thank you for all the help you've given to many with their computer questions. I've enjoyed your posts, and hope to run across you on other boards.
