I wasn't sure if there would be many kids out trick or treating tonight, but bought goodies to hand out hopeing they would come.

Well, I'm sitting here eating mini candy bars and waiting. Usually by now they would be out in force. The doorbell hasn't rung once. How sad.

How's it going where you live?

No kids at all this year, chococake. Very sad.

Not a kid in sight. It's really cold out also. I guess I'll just have to eat all those mini Reese's cups myself.

Kids everywhere, little ones, big ones, cute ones, and very ugly ones. Oh my goodness 5 of them are mine.
Took 3 trick or treating while 2 stayed home to hand out. Gave out 3 super size bags and brought home at least 6 lbs of candy.

I've had a few, but not nearly as many as the past couple of years. In the past, one huge 6lb bag wasn't enough. Yesterday I bought TWO 6lb bags and I have more than 1 bag left over.

Getting a little late here. We only have three little kids on the cul-de-sac and they were here. Sometimes the teenagers show up, but didn't this year.

My daughter has her first apartment and was really hoping for a lot of kids. When I spoke with her about 8:00 she hadn't gotten any yet! She was really looking forward to it.

We haven't lived in a place where kids show up by the dozens. I would love that.

No kids here. But then in the last twenty years only two kids have stopped by on Halloween and their parents phoned first. (We live in the woods.)

Total of five kids, all lived on my street. I really missed seeing the little ones that could barely get up the stairs, and then would just stand there with their bags open.

After dark I had two folks show up, they were politicians running for local office.

Since I vote by absentee ballot I have already voted for their opponents. I didn't offer them any candy and closed the door.

Hey chococake, wanna split some Milky Way Candy Bars? I have plenty left over.

Hia Barry(sweet without the chocolate)Barris. I'll trade you some Nestles Crunch for some of your Milky Ways.

Nice to see you here. I thought you'd be having a big party at the bar tonight. I can't remember my password there, but I'll get it and come on over for pizza and a few drinks. Only thing is when you're home I have to share with Maui.

Puff, I hope that's not true. I know many things won't be the same. I think it was just too soon after the Towers, and with the Anthrax scare right now.

I would hate to think we would lose all the fun things that are a big part of our lives.

We took the little ones trick or treating and actually had a whole street that ran out of candy. It was strangely comforting ... in the midst of my problems to be hanging out with ghosts and goblins. I wonder if one of them was real?

I think people are scared this year ... next year they will be out in droves again.

I am happy to say that I saved my baby nephew from a mean nasty pack of Bottle Caps. You know the kind .... compressed sugar ...

Yummy ....
