Actually, I don't think that they are killed.. Those people who objected to using credit cards have gone to places so boring that your mind would stagnate if you stayed longer than a couple of days.
Auction Watch has the best format and variety. I think that the best of the people who left will discover this very quickly and will be back along with some new people.
This is just a transitional period. It's happened before.

Dejapooh:
As you probably have guessed, Helen has the reputation here on the Round Table of being our most tactful poster.
In answer to your question, posters who left have scattered to different boards. Some seem to have stopped posting altogether. I miss many of them and would very much like to see them return. However, some do not even have that option, as they do not possess a credit card.

Each of us has a different definition of what is boring.
What you are really saying is that the other boards are striving to be places where argument does not reign supreme. With the exception of Ross's, of course, where that is the sole reason d'etre.
edited because "soul" is not the same as "sole"

Dejapooh, perhaps if you put your email address up, someone would send you the addresses to some of the other places.

Well, I would like to say hello to everyone, Helen, Barry, stockticker, bunnicula and dejapooh.
Variety is the spice of life. What is variety and enjoyable to one poster/reader is not enjoyable to another. A wide variety of boards and styles exist to suit a wide variety of posters and topics.
Wish I had more time to chat but life calls. See you all later.
