If Osama's group didn't do the Anthrax thing, do you still fear that group as much?

Osama claims he has nuclear access. Do you believe him?

First I dont believe he has any nuclear wepons or access, I don't Believe he was directly related to the anthrax mail at all but may have been indirectly related to it in that some how his $$$ may have indirectly paid for it some how.

In fact they have enough evidence to safely say the anthrax mail all came from one single source though if they know that source they are not letting on at this time.

I do believe how ever that in many ways he was of the planing and funding for the 9/11 attack with one or more of the High jackers this was planned out for years Right down to Education I don't think all the Highjacker even knew what they were in for that day other then a simple high jacking and a bit of mischief..

I think bin laden felt his other outside attakes on the US were not getting the attention they deserved over the years so he wanted something that would hit the US closer to home.

I don't think I ever had any real fear of bin laden or his group they have never been a direct threat to me or my familys well being.

I never believe him or his group to be Directly related to the anthrax this is most likely Some one or group inside the US useing 9/11 to further there cause and bin laden and his group could be remotely related in that some how it was paid for with his fund or just simply due to the fear they created with the attake on 9/11

I hardly believe he has any access to nuclear weapons at all if india or pakatain even suspected it they would be more deeply involved in this war being such close neighboring country the crude method they would have of deploying this stuff might be just enough to reach these countries not much else..

I believe that bin Laden will retaliate but I am not obsessed with fear.

The FBI is investigating the Trenton, NJ area for a suspect in the Anthrax cases..

Excerpt...

``It is highly probable, bordering on certainty, that all three letters were written by the same person,'' the FBI said of anthrax-laced letters sent to NBC News In New York, the New York Post newspaper and Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle.

In releasing a profile of the person and asking for public help in identifying who may be responsible, the FBI said the anthrax in the Daschle letter was more potent, more refined and more easily dispersed than what the other two letters contained.

The FBI said whomever sent the letters was likely to have taken ``appropriate protective steps to insure their own safety,'' such as an anthrax vaccine or getting antibiotics.

It said the person may work in a laboratory and ``probably has a scientific background to some extent or at least a strong interest in science.'' The person also may be ``comfortable working with hazardous materials,'' the FBI said.

I'm pretty much in agreement with you dman. I've been watching a bit of CNN, and people seem to be split on their ideas about where the Anthrax is coming from.

I really had to laugh though when they came out with the "profile" Helen. They think the letters are written by the same person? Gee, I wouldn't have picked up on that. A loner, with a possible chemistry background.....what can I say??

Right, Kraftdinner, on the "profile". I wonder how long it took to determine that?

That is the scariest aspect of the whole problem. LoL

I feel as well it is highly unlikely that a reportered was take to where bin laden is blind folded or other wise.

when you read the story you can see that the reporter who the supose story was writen by acurately decribe the area even blind folded.

it was really cold and you could hear anitair craft fire and all , Well hell how many antiaircraft batteries do you figure afgan has left that arent a pile of scrap at this point after over 5 weeks of bombing these targets

This would make it to easy to pinpoint a few location and areas where bin laden has been holding up and I think even he is smarter then this.

Osama is full of hot air. If he had nukes, NY would be a smoking crater right now.

He's just stirring the pot a little. Trying to shake people up.

I hope you're right outoftheblue.

Osama does seem intent on using propaganda as part of his strategy against the US and I think he'd prefer that we believe that he has nukes whether he does or not. The problem is you never know for sure.

About the profile and the anthrax... my husband's comment after reading the profile was, how many people with some tie to Trenton NJ purchased a centrifuge in the past year or two? Seems a likely place to start looking.

Also if they publicize the profile, partly they're hoping through the publicity to convince someone to come forward with more detailed information that actually knows the anthrax mailer personally.
