---- So now we have slapped with yet another vague "terrorist threat"! The Bush administration and their sorry minions (the FBI, CIA, Pentagon, et al.) have drummed up a new "vague threat," strategically releasing it at 9:00 pm EST just at the peak viewership of the Olympics. Every time it looks as if any #*!@ may hit the Bush fan, we get a terrorist alert. So, what is it this time? Hmmm, quite a selection actually.
---- First, the heat has been turned up on Ken Lay and Enron. In fact, by a STRANGE COINCIDENCE, Lay is scheduled to appear before Congress today. Or could it be the release of the stories yesterday about how U.S. troops have been threatening journalists with bodily harm (as in shooting them where they stand)? This story popped up on NPR yesterday afternoon as a first-hand report and was whisked away by the time the evening news came around. Or maybe it's this week's reports, along with disturbing photos, that our "good-doer" boys in Afghanistan and Guantanomo are beating the #*!@ out of their prisoners? What better excuse for this crap could Bush trump up than to give the world the impression that this brutality at lease yielded a few terrorist names and a new alert?
---- Or maybe the GAO's spineless David "I Have GOP Tattooed on My Butt" Walker is starting to think about preserving said butt in case the whole house of cards collapses later, and he has decided to press forward for real on the Cheney task force list.
---- Or maybe Bush and Rumsfeld are feeling nervous about the Milosovic war crimes trial that starts in the Hague today. After all, they themselves are war criminals under every definition of the word since WWII. Maybe they are afraid that the obvious comparisons will start to get drawn between them and Milosovic by the general public.
---- Or maybe there is some even nastier Bush linen that's starting to peek from below the White House skirts. Nothing like a new "terrorist alert" to divert public attention and buy time for stuffing the linen into a closet. Hmmm, what could be in danger of popping through to view right now? Well, for now I can but report the well-sourced rumors I have heard:
---- High on the list is the anthrax vaccine "scandal waiting to happen." Maybe someone is about to reveal that the company with the exclusive rights to manufacture the vaccine, BioPort, is owned by a cartel consisting of the Carlyle Group, a prominent Saudi, members of the Bin Laden family, and Admiral William J. Crowe, Jr., former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Reagan.
---- That could explain why the company's grounds are so well guarded -- and why all company employees are instructed not to tell anyone, from reporters to family members, anything about the company's ownership. If they did, the trail might lead to some very nasty questions ... like why was a plant that failed FDA inspections three times in the past four years was suddenly reviewed by Donald Rumsfeld just a few weeks before the first anthrax letter was sent? And why has the same troubled plant, as of Jan. 31, was miraculously passed by FDA and named the sole provider of anthrax vaccine? Or why is a vaccine that has killed and disabled dozens of soldiers being forced on said soldiers under threat of court martial? And, perhaps most interesting of all right now ... WHY hasn't the mainstream media (beyond BioPort's home town, anyway), mentioned that among the things found in terrorist hideouts was a goodly supply of info on anthrax from BioPort?
---- Or maybe Bob Woodward was getting tired of being blackmailed by the White House about his behavior toward his estranged wife, and decided to stop writing puff pieces dictated by Karl Rove? If he came clean, that would be a needed coup for real journalism and a major black eye for Bush.
---- Or maybe Bush is simply trying to divert the spotlight from brother Jeb just long enough to allow him to cover up the evidence that he used $334-million of the Florida pension fund in a futile attempt to bail out Ken Lay as the Enron ship went down.
---- The possibilities are endless!
---- Now ... to backtrack a few months. There is growing evidence that September 11 itself was a power-consolidating action by those wishing to keep Bush in power. Here's another piece of evidence. In this summary by the Emergency Response and Research Institute of terrorist activities and alerts since 1998, scroll down to number 7. It will show that a worldwide terrorist alert was put out on Sept. 10. Do you remember getting that warning? Now click on this link and what will you find? NOTHING. It has been replaced by a report from January 23.

The link Cheryl mentions is http://www.emergency.com/2001/ter-advsry-sum.htm and it's clear that there WAS a global warning issued on Sept 7. the record of which has been expunged from this site and replaced with an innocuous report of administration Anthrax measures.
Where is the original report, and more importantly, why has it been removed?
Isn't it increasingly clear that coverups are taking place almost daily? What is wrong with you people? If these actions by the administration which are reported only through the energy and committed concern of Cheryl Seal and others like her were the actions of some seller at auction in ebay there would be serious questions raised by intelligent investigative minded people here and in all of the boards.
How did anthrax material get into the tunnels of boring mountain, Afganistan if they weren't planted there by people from here? With the level of security at Bioport how did some Afgani slobs get that stuff?
How is it that RUMSFELD, of all people, can "review" and overide the FDA findings and issue exclusive rights of manufacture to that company when two others, approved to operate, were ready to begin production?
There must be a thousand such examples accumulated by now, in only a year.
This litany of concealment and high level subversion should be intolerable in this country.
