Is it just me? I found most of the closing ceremonies tonight awfully boring. I kept switching back and forth with "The Practice," which wasn't much better tonight. My husband walked into the room and I said I have trouble figuring out what rock music has to do with the Olympics and he (always the cynic) said, "I keep telling you--sports is just entertainment." I guess he's right.
The children singing Happy Trails to You was cute, though. Christina A. could have fallen off the platform and I wouldn't have cared. Willy Nelson was a bit nostalgic. . . .
Ah, well. As a recent transplant FROM Utah TO California, I shouldn't care. But I do.

I thought it was funny that 55 year olds, and now pudgy and unsteady on their platform shoes, KISS, seemed to be the highlight. It was also interesting that more people knew the words and sang along to 'I wanna rock-n-roll all night' than the Star Spangled Banner.

I have to agree, toooo boring! I didn't even watch most of it. There just wasn't a spark. It didn't even seem like the athletes were having a good time. No pun intended, but it just felt cold and unemotional.

Are the Winter Olympics finally over? That means that the news blackout using the Olymips as an excuse will only last another month or so ...
