Yep. They can't give it up. Even though he was found to NOT be lying when he went to Senate Trial, since then, a right-wing conservative republiklan group has gotten Clinton's license to practice law in Arkansas suspended for five years, and now, they want him retried for lying. It's in the news and they are preparing to bring it to the prosecution.

Will this Help or Hurt the Republican party to continue to hound Clinton long after he left office? Will Bush be next for the MOUNTAIN of LIES he's told AND BEEN CAUGHT TELLING the American People since being appointed to his office as President?
Is no one safe for evasiveness while being wrongfully proscecuted? Stay tuned to this topic for this Summer's Media Black-out while the Congress and the Executive Branch continues to demolish our futures.

Now, now.

Let's get our facts straight.

It was an Indepentdent Counsel who released this information, Robert Ray.

...could have pursued criminal charges against President Clinton last year, but chose not to...

also, no right-wing Republican group "has gotten Clinton's license to practice law in Arkansas suspended for five years"

While Ray found that the government would have an interest in charging Clinton, he did think that the other measures taken - including numerous fines levied against Clinton, his agreement to give up practicing law in Arkansas for five years, and his 11th-hour confession before leaving office - were enough to forgo a criminal trial.

the HIS is Clinton. Almost sounds like this guy PREVENTED Clinton from being charged. Seems a bit different from what you espoused Borillar

Is the timing late? Yes. Is it a low blow, probably. But this is not a Right Wing conspiracy.

I cant believe a single blowjob cost us taxpayers 70 MILLION dollars!!!!!!! I thought the republicans were to be conservative and moral? They spent our money to get off on hearing Clintons sex life when they could have paid $20.00 for a porn movie. Saw on the news today Bush's approval rating is 62% and falling.

Leave Borillar alone. He gets very confused when you bring up facts. He's going to yell at you about your wacky "opinions".

blairwitch

I never really heard anybody complain about the free bjs. Most of the angst I heard was about crazy stuff like highest elected official committing perjury, etc.

Oh, btw, check out www.gallup.com. March 3 rating was 81% with a 64% economic approval. They go on to mention that the 64% is extremely high compared to past presidential averages of 47%

desquirrel being a former republican and from going to fundraisers I can tell you 95% want to move on, and did NOT support paying 70 million dollars to hear about his sex life. Another topic that many disagree with was the far right giving paula jones money to have plastic surgery, and then do playboy!

The poll on tv said 76% feel happy about bush, but his overall approval rating dipped to 62%.

"also, no right-wing Republican group "has gotten Clinton's license to practice law in Arkansas suspended for five years" "

Now, Duce, you know me better than that! Yes, it's true that I have for the moment only forgotten the name of that Republiklan group who has been the driving force behind the Republican party's junta-SAND policy on Clinton. They were the ones who stirred up the ashed on Paula Jones and hounded a court to review the facts and then pressed the court to have Clinton's license to be removed. I'll get the name of that group for you, Duce.

As for the rest ...

Independent counsel: Ample evidence to charge Clinton in Lewinsky case

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- A final report by Independent Counsel Robert Ray concluded Wednesday that prosecutors had ample evidence for criminal charges against President Clinton in the scandal involving former White House intern Monica Lewinsky."

but WAIT ... there's MORE!

Bill Press: Republicans can't let go of Bill Clinton

"The answer can be summed up in two words: New Jersey. Within weeks, Ray is expected to announce his plans to challenge Bob Torricelli to be U.S. senator from New Jersey. What better way to get a burst of national publicity and endear himself to Republican fat cats, always eager to write a campaign check to any proven Clinton-basher?"

First off Borillar, I'm gone for 6 months and you still cannot spell my name correctly; either that or your "e" is stuck a bit.

Secondly, you'll receive no argument from me, and I stated so in my first post, it was not timely nor appropriate.

As in the past, I wanted to get the facts straight. No group "has gotten Clinton's license to practice law in Arkansas suspended for five years" as you state. Clinton himself accepted this, as well as a fine, with head-to-head discussions with Ray back when this was news.

Is Ray showboating & posturing, you bet. But you know, he has received, IMHO, much more negative feedback from this than positive.

Finally, I'd like you to remember back to Ed Meese. I do remember those in the left calling for his head in the same type of "we could have done this, but didn't" scenario (you'll remember Meese's was taxes) that Ray brought up.

You democrats really need to divorce slick willy,
the comments here do not cover the midnight seizure of a political refuge by janets shocktroops.
The seizure of an unarmed cuban boy whose mother gave her life to give him freedom, from his bedroom by dozens of Goverment thugs.
The Murder of Mrs Weaver by Horiuchi. The Murder of the Branch davidians.
The Murder of Vince foster.
The sale of weapons grade technology to RED China.

The one thing that the demoracts can do to end their party is continue to dance with the king and Queen of cleaning out the savings and loans,

to the tune of 6 gun on his hip

the elderly were lined up said dont cut our medicare,

Slick willy said dont listen to the folks with white hair.

As bad as Meese was, I'd honestly trade him in anyday for Ashcroft. At least Meeese wasn't trying to subvert the U.S. Constituion and the Bill of Rights.

Sorry about misspelling your handle, Duece. I keep misspelling it like Duce, you know, Il Duce' for some reason. But really, it's fingers tired from typing all day long at the computer.

What started all this was my listening to CNN for the first time in a long time and there was a quick quip this morning about the Republicans talking about going after Clinton for lying. I posted before they had the chance to change their story on their web site. Next time I'll simply go grab the first story that I see there and use it as factual info.

Truthfully, I've gotten out of the habit of posting links. I got tired of linking a story here, only to have it entirely change its slant/content a few hours later. And it wasn't just nationally-recongnized newspapers either.

They're still after Bill Clinto because he went out of office with a 65% approval rating, even after everything the Reps desperately threw at him and Hilary, not to mention that Hilary was also elected Senator.

That 65% rating translates into trouble if Bill campaigns for the Dems. They're trying to defuse the "Bill factor" as much as possible. They know that if Gore had allowed Clinton's help in the elction, we'd have a different president.

The next presidential election will encounter many comparisions between Clinton and Bush, and on domestic issues, Bush is thus far setting up for a fall.

The mid term elections will be interesting as Clinton has been somewhat active in them. The mid terms will also act as a referendum on Bush.

I think people are getting fed up with Clinton bashing and it will begin to work against them.

"I think people are getting fed up with Clinton bashing and it will begin to work against them."

Anyone who wasn't a conservative was fed up with it from Day 1. Only a small percentage of the Republican party wants to pursue Clinton Bashing - the rest know that everytime they bash Clinton, it just pisses off the nation of voters more from all sides. Clinton Bashing was political suicide back when Clinton was in office - it's political suicide now.

Republicans: NOW aren't you convinced that your leaders are about half as bright as a dead firefly?
