Remember that photo on the cover 20 years ago, of the light eyes pretty girl? NG has been looking for her ever since, and finally found her.

She has such a sad look on her face. Like shes been to hell and back. On the before pic, and the after pic.

Edited to add clickable link.

Considering that she got married at 12 or 13 years-old, had four daughters who died, and lives without all the conveniences *we* take for granted, it's not surprising that her face looks worn.

She was 13 and pregnant when the photo was taken. She had 4 daughters, 1 of whom died. In another story, the photographer said they were doing something to insure her children receive an education. She's 31 and looks 55.

In the 'before' picture, her eyes had a dark line around the iris. (I hope that's the correct term, I mean the colored part of the eye.) In the 'after' picture, it is missing. That's what really made her 'before' eyes so spectacular.

Does anyone know how that could happen (the dark line disappearing)??

Her eyes DO look different. But if you saw the NG report she has the scar on her nose and the retinal scan was a 99% match. They said iris color can vary over the years but the structure of the iris remains the same and is even more accurate than fingerprints.

When they were looking for her, did you see the photog talking to/photographing the other girl in the green shawl? Sooo strange to see these dark eastern people with glowing emerald eyes.

Except the iris is not what's examined by a retina scan.

So long as they're not shades of blue within blue ...

Too bad they weren't doing a retina scan.
