Does anyone have any telephone numbers for ebay. These guys suspended my account for shill bidding on my own test auctions. These auctions were clearly marked test auctions and were paced in the correct category for test auctions. HELP

You can not talk to a real person other than one that will connect you with a machine. Looks Like I may have to go to Palo Alto and see if I can get a judge to file a restraining order on these
dumb*ucks. They closed 105 auctions because of their own stupidity, most of which had bids.
****************************
this is the email I sent ebay:

Q.
What is shill bidding? A. Shill bidding is the deliberate placing of bids to
artificially drive up the price of an item. This is also known as "bid
padding" and is not allowed.

This your (Ebay's) definition of shill bidding

These two auctions were clearly identified as Test auctions and were placed
in the category of #14111
which is for testing auctions as prescibed by Ebay rules

Why would you let live feedback be placed from a test auction in the first
place?

Maybe you should look at your own practices and protocols before you start
making accusations and suspending accounts.
(end of email to ebay)
********************
And the item was ???? Oh a fictitious item.
Well now you have really screwed up.

the so called shilling involved an auction for
"test" for .01 cent. The shilled bid was for .02 cents.

Let me get this straight; I jeopardize a $10.000 a month busines by shilling a bid for a whole *ucking penny on an auction that was not real.

So then I confess to fraud. I was actually selling "tests" and had none, what a crook I am.

Well anyway my six pack should be ice cold by now, so soooooooooooo (I had stopped here with the o, but this deal needs way more)
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
long from the looney bin here in oregon.

If it were not for stupid people I would be bored to death.

On most of those systems that have all the choices and you never get to talk to a real person ~if you just pretend you are on a dial phone and wait you get a real person. Just don't go nuts and press any numbers before they answer. Sometimes you can just press 0 and that takes you to a real person too. Good luck.

Maybe you can answer one question for me. What the heck good is a test auction anyway? I mean, what can you learn from it? Something I have always wondered.

There's a place on eBay to run Test Auctions?

"They closed 105 auctions because of their own stupidity, most of which had bids."

Really? Were they actual user bids, your shill bids, or both at the same time?

As far as I know the place to run them is category 14111.

What are they for, well I thought I knew but apparently Ebay does not know either.

Supposing "the venue" ebay was sending out trash about checkout and advertisements to your customers when your auctions closed. Secondly I had a lot of complaints that this new checkout (and the old one) that AW was sending. The only way to know what your customer has to deal with was, well how about a test auction, DA. I would get all the emails that customers are getting when an auction closes and see for myself exactly what my customers had to deal. Silly me for giving a crap. the only bid placed was mine. How else could you trigger the WBN and all the rest. There wwas no other bidders, there was no product. The title said test the description said test the auction was placed in category 14111 which is everything else --test auctions

Thanks for the link, stockticker. But now I'm confused even more because of it. It makes no sense to me to have a TEST category. When you go to to submit your auction, you have the chance to see what it will look like and to make any and all changes prior to submitting it.

Well I got suspension lifted after some major hell raising.

Things a sell might want to know before he posts a gillion auctions through a third party auction poster like AW, auctionworks, anadale , misterlister, ets

(1) where does paypal put their pay pal button
(2) how does the pay pal button work after the
auction.
(3) where exactly on the page does the square trade logo end up.
(4) what do the emails that ebay sends out after an auction look like.
(5) what do the emails that the 3 rd party auction posters look like.
(6) How difficult are the checkout pages to use
for my customers.
(7) How long does it take for ebay and AW to send notices after an auction.
(8) Do my pay pal links that are sent out in the WBN work for my customers.

You find these things out by running a test.

If I were to decide to use a different third party auction poster software I would want to run a test auction to answer all the above questions before I posted a bazillion auctions and end up sending out a bunch of emails that would confuse and piss off my customers.
