I just had a banking experience from hell happen to me and yet I feel like a real moron.I was having a credit card payment automatically taken out of my bank account each month,no problem until my income died.I tryed to get a hold of the credit card company but couldn't reach them so I asked the bank how I could stop the payment from being taken out of my account. They told me to pay a one time fee of $28.00 and it would stop it,and if there wasn't enough in the account they couldn't pull it anyway.Yea , right. They pulled money that wasn't there and bounced every check outstanding and then charged me fees for bounced checks. When I asked them about it they informed me I should know better and even if I closed the account they would continue the pull the payments from now on as that would reopen my checking accounts and I would have to pay all the fees the bank charged me and for the payments they payed out.To make a long story short, when I called the main branch of this bank the next day to complain about their practices.I was told all the money had been put back in my account.

The problem is that computers are now running the show. When they make mistakes, it's the few people left that have jobs at banks, that have to deal with them. Try to be positive MAH645. I know it's a raw deal, but I swear you get further ahead by being really nice to these people. I hope it all works out for you.

A letter outlining the details to the manager of the branch and a cc to the main branch won't hurt either MAH645.
