I bought an old book today. Don't recall the title or author except for "Jewish Humor". I will try to post one every day. It's been far too depressing around here.<s>
To the best of my (hic!) recall. A short one:
Herb goes into a bar and sees his friend drinking shots of whiskey, then making the sign of the cross. Herb says to his friend, "What happened, have you changed religons?" The friend responds, "No! I just don't want anybody to be able to say that they saw a *Jew* drinking like a fish."

OK, because I promised but I'm wiped and in all honesty didn't have time to look at the book today, not to mention being distracted by the helicopters (demonstration) which make me nuts. Wait! It's Shabbat. I can do this tomorrow!
A bus or trainload car full of Jews are commuting home from work when a big burly giant of a guy enters the front and demands in a loud voice "Are there any Jews here?" Nobody says a word. Then louder, the big guy--Are there any Jews in here?!!!" Finally this smallish guy, who not only didn't want to betray his heritage, never mind seem like a wimp to his girlfriend with whom was riding, sputtered out, full in the knowlege that he was likely about to be murdered: "I-I am a Jew." The big guy says: "Good. It is the anniversary of my fathers death and I want to say Kaddish. I have 9 Jews in the back and I need one more to make a miniyan and I'm afraid we're not going to make it home in time."
