Hi, all. My thoughts about this are that, even though it is said that the pilot issued some SOS and Mayday messages, the fact that he hit a high story of the regional government building in Milan at a time when a meeting was being held (presumably of officials) makes me think this may be no accident.

It occurs to me that from now on all the pilots have to do is say SOS or Mayday and they won't be interfered with or shot down before they do their dirty work.

I hope this isn't true. If it is, though, another country will have been impacted by the terrorists and will have a small inkling of what it was like in NY in Sept.

Wish we knew the names of the pilot and co-pilot!

I can't figure out why an SOS for engine problems ended up with the plane crashing into the tallest building in downtown Milan.

But, since it happened in Europe, it is best that it is called an accident or Europeans will claim it was a CIA plot.

Let's not overlook that Orlando to DC-suburb Amtrak that just rolled over.

OK, the guy was 75 years old. I think it is just a weird coincidence. Funny how those things happen.

The train wreck..that's a mess isn't it?

Now the pilot's son is claiming that his father committed suicide by deliberately crashing the plane into the building.

The police on the other hand want to see if the guy had a heart attack first beofre calling it a suicide.

If it was a suicide, how typically Western!

You know, at least the Japanese have it right. When they want to commit suicide, they write a nice poem, drink a last cup of tea, close th shutters, doors, and blinds, and then do themselves in.

Westerners want attention. Columbine High School shootings to your average depressed post-partum mother: we have to go around and take others with us when we go. We can't seem to be polite and nice about it: we have to do things like crash head-on into a vanload of school children and burst into flames, killing everyone. Or crash an airplane into a damned building ... it's all the same thing!

I wish that Christ had taught that when you want to commmit suicide, shut you mouth, go somewhere where no one else is at, and then quietly do your business. At least we'd have a tradition of NOT being such a bunch of A**HOLES when it comes to suicide!
