You have to realize that it was a beautiful weekend here and elsewhere and everyone wanted to get out and about instead of hunkering down at their PCs and posting commentary.

Looks like all threads are slow with the exception of the happy pair above.

Maybe everyone is overwhelmed with happiness.

I'm sorry that I missed your thread, Nycyn.
I've been trying to learn how to download music to a CD. I'm such a clutz with the computer.

BiddyBop--It was pouring here; but we need the rain.

Helen, I thought everyone fled because they despised us.

Here's another story. And I can really understand why there are non-believers because, well, this is not a normal life; I don't think.

I'm back at work, more or less, for a whole 4 days now. At nine o'clock (Rush hour; extremely busy street, both vehicular and pedestrian; richest neighborhood in the country)I meander out for some coffee. About five feet from my coffee shop I see EMS activity (and I always go see if it's City to see who is around) just in time to see them (Privates) load a guy on a gurney leaving what sure looked like brain tissue to me on the sidewalk. It was a rub out, by a bunch of guys with balls (baseball bats and a pistol actually.) I guess I'll catch it on the news later.

The entire world is going crazy.

Death outside the coffee shop at 9AM. Wow!. I don't believe that I could endure life in the big city.

Maybe they love to hate us, Nycyn.

Just saw the 5 oclock news; this tied up the neighborhood all day but 30 seconds. I didn't want to say anything before until it was confirmed but a source told me it was construction company and I passed that to a detective. My source also said they were from 100th St. & 3rd Ave. We'll see if that pans out. And that guy ain't dead, apparently, but...

This kind of thing is unusual anymore in NY. Probably Union vs. Scab? Not like a robbery.

Your Girl in the Street

"Probably Union vs Scab?"

That's a good posibility...an attempted scab rub out.

So, Helen, I know this is delicate, but why was a dame as classy as you locked out?

I was locked out because I'm a foul-mouthed pretend-to-be-NY'er, who invited someone (that I had the cajones to neg!!!!!) to a virtual parking lot fisticuffs. ("Threat of bodily harm"

Like that.

Scab vs Union can get ugly. I went to work one morning and there was nobody else at the construction site and I got a funny feeling so I strapped on a .45 automatic and stuck a couple clips in my pocket before going in. Six union goons showed up to whack me. Six goons - 8 shots in the gun and 14 in the clips = 22. Shucks I had enough left over to blow a lot of holes through their car before I left. They were so impressed they offered to let me JOIN the union.

Great story. I was going to ask you "steel?" but you said construction. What union was that? What year?

We have a teachers union here that's been without a contract for years and whines and whines and whines and rallies. Last one I nearly went out with a sign saying "Shut up and strike!" or "Stop whining & Strike" or "Albert--Rise Ye Up." Any one of them would tell you "Waaa--I can't *afford* to..." Pathetic.

Hilarious! Nycyn

You're not locked out here! In fact, if you did all of the above, you are the Queen of the Round Table!!!

I'll have to think about your other question.

Nycyn

I've thought about your question.

I'm not aware that I have been locked out. I realize that some new people are arriving along with new people from the past. I see that as good and not an indication that I have been locked out. I would never exclude anybody and I don't believe that the good posters here will be a part of such juvenile nonsense.

If anybody tries to lock you out, I will take a lesson from you and threaten them with bodily harm. HaHaHa!!!

Helen, I'm sorry. I thought you were locked out. I don't know where I got that. I was indeed, but from upstairs--eBay Outlook?

I got The Call from The Kid's teacher today and I've only 2 lite beers in the fridge!!

He's writing a letter--I'm spelling: A-u-n-t U-n-c-l-e T-r-a-d-e C-e-n-t-e-r- c-r-a-s-h

The night is young, for the young.
