Thanks! I just finished reading the whole thing. The pictures and explanations helped the "pancake" effect make sense. The tall buildings are designed to sway. Combine the movement with the sudden fire that covered too much area at once and it's like dropping a stack of books. That's the best explanation I've read.

I'm sorry I missed the real thing. But the articles were really good. Someday my grandkids will want to know if I remember this happening. My kids keep asking about Watergate!

You know what. Reading about how the WTC collapsed and looking at the diagrams was a lot like reading about why the Titanic sank. A lot of theories were proved wrong when they found the Titanic.

Hey, that reminds me. I'm going to list a maternity outfit and thought I'd look to see if I had a kid's video I could throw in with it just for fun. As I was reading through the names of the movies I have, I came across "Titanic."

Whaddya think? "Titanic/maternity outfit" as an auction title? LOL!!!!

I'll pass. A kind and wonderful soul from here taped that 9-11 special for me. I may never watch it, but I'm glad I have it.

Hats off to You-Know-Who-You-Are, Lady.

xxx,

Cyn

Thanks for the update on that, Nycyn.

What unbelievable horror. I understand why you didn't watch it tonight.

School kidss from all over the country sseent all kinds of signed banners, maybe even still. I wandered around a huge subway station today, blowing off my usual exit for one maybe closer to my bus. These signed banners are still everywhere apparently. And there was a more professional one, with the names of the known victims, and I took a moment to stick my finger in my lipstick and leave my print next to the name of my distant but cousin non-the-less fireman... Some family couldn't even get to the services because he streets were blocked with well-wishers, politicos, news crews, etc. His wife was one of the first to call for a memorial. I could lipstick print more, but for what?

I'm babbling again. I need a wife I tell you!

I was getting my kids ready for bed and, once again, missed your message about the TV special. Sigh. I'm just now checking my e-mail and saw your note.

I don't mind if you babble, nycyn. AW gives me adult conversation which I don't get much of. So babble away. Even if I miss the TV specials.
