From CNN - 11 Rep. pages booted for pot.
The pages were dismissed under a \"zero tolerance\" policy by the House Page Board, which oversees the page program. The situation was \"handled administratively\" and \"not handled as a criminal matter,\" according to a U.S. Capitol Police spokesman. The 11 pages were all nominated to their positions by Republican members, one aide said.
Gee - the Republicans can handle lawlessness just like the Catholic Church - administratively - funny how the rest of us people outside of powerful organizations have to deal with things through the police and courts.

Aren't ALL citizens subject to the laws of the land. You know, blind justice. Can you imagine if I were being arrested for possessing pot, if I were to discuss it with my husband first, and then tell the police we decided to handle the situation within the family.

It's what happens when you are allowed to vote yourself Above The Law. The abuse never ends and you get to look down your noses at the folks who put you into office. Of course, when you pass legislation stating that you can't be investigated for wrongdoing, it helps a lot as you take your massive bribes. Not that Americans aren't suffering in many ways in all areas of the country and they drastically need viable legislation to help them, but it is an od practice to actually INCREASE the social problems as a rule while you're in office with your rediculous anti-social agendas. If a psychological exam were required of the current crop of politicians, there would be few left in office. Funny, the American People keep votring in incompetant creeps into office and then complain when things don't work out. Of course, we're not allowed to vote for None Of The Above in the Presidential Race and trash BOTH political candidates! Nope! It's all sewn-up: either you get the creep from the Democratic Party or you get the creepier one from the Republican Party! Any wonder why Voter turn-out is so low in this country? Any wonder why Ralph Nader gets so much support for suggesting None Of The Above as a Quick-Fix solution? Any wonder why BOTH political Parties Hate his Guts for suggesting it to the people?

A few weeks ago the front page news was that our new mayor not only admitted to smoking pot but stated "I enjoyed it". I was quite impressed with that. (But he can do or say pretty much whatever he wants I guess, being a billionaire...)
