Hi Calamity, Linda_K! Thanks for asking about Babs. She is doing very well post surgery. She is eating and purring and acting pretty much like her old self. After removing the huge kidney they sent some for biopsy and found that she does have polycystic disease so she will not live a long life but we'll see to it that she lives a happy one. She was put on some additional anti-biotics just today since it seems she has a bladder infection...not unexpected since the kidney was so diseased. Once that is cleared up and her staples are out she should be back to normal. The vet said she could go outside so that made her a happy camper as she had been crying at the back door for days!!Made me happy too since I had to listen to her plaintive cries.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat's illnesses, rawbunzel. I love cats and I won't have any pets because I can't always tell when they are sick or need help from a vet. But I pet them when I can.
Glad to hear she is back to driving you crazy. LOL!
I agree, quality of life is much more imporatant than quantity. So spoil her rotten!!!! Not that she probably doesn't make you do that already. Animals have their ways.
