I have read the writing on the wall.

I know when it's time to concede defeat.

To continue would be fruitless.

I give up.....I quit.....You win all the marbles.

It's not like I didn't ask for it though.

I know that now.

It's a hard pill to swallow.

I leave with my beliefs still intact.

I hold no grudges against anyone.

BANG!

That was the screen door slamming shut as I leave.

It's OK ncyc, yellowstone didn't understand then and he doesn't understand now. Being here in the RT isn't about winning, it's about learning where you are wrong. I have been wrong on so many occasions on here that I get embarrassed to think about it. Yet, that doesn't stop me from posting my ignorance again and again, because I want to know where I am right and where I am wrong. Maybe yellowstone doesn't see it that way. Maybe for him, it is all about winning or losing and I can understand: it gets awfully hot in here some times ~ even I have to run out of the kitchen once in a while to cool off.

Well, yellowstone, all I can say to you is that no effort is a failure until you give up. Had you taken such lumps as were rightly yours as we all have to in the RT from time to time with a smile and continued on, you could have just kept enjoying yourself here. Hell, you think you had it rough? Yellowstone: there are posters in this forum that actually keep URLS to quotes of mine to use against me at later dates! Now THAT is rough going!

At any rate yellowstone, after you've had a chance to cool down and think about it, you may want to concider changing your mind and getting back into the hot seat here again.

yellowstone

Never take this kind of thing to heart, all you can do is give your point of view.
If someone agrees with you fine, if not so what.

Life goes on. I do enjoy your posts as well as the other points of view.

So do not give up, just look at it as an exchange of ideas.
Look forward to more of your posts.

Yellowstone - I'm sorry to see you go....but certainly understand where you're coming from. Many have felt the same as you and have moved on.
Be happy.

Hep - Just my opinion , of course, but it's because it's hard to hold an opinion different than the majority here.

Linda, its always hard to hold an opinion against the majority. You are in the Majority opinion yourself, for instance: your opinions reflect those held by the majority of people in the United States, if polls are to be believed. That some like-minded people who question authority like to hang out here is a radical oasis in the midst of rampant nationalism. It's all a matter of perspective.

Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.
It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here's a happy one for you.

Happy trails to you until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you 'till we meet again.

Happy trails to you until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you 'till we meet again.

Well, Ive always been the odd woman out/black sheep/loner/weird one, so yeah, I can dig what you said. Wait a minute. Maybe its the other way around? Doesnt matter anyway. Yellowstone has been around for some time now. Maybe he just needs a wee break, then will pop back in. Lets just keep that screen door open, eh?

What is this about Life goes on IU mean there are cemetaries all over the place ,aybe we should bury all the dead in areas where there is a shortage of water so it cuts down on the demand for h20

Well, just so you don't try to bury the living. That won't work.
