The Enron Approach to Responsible Government

The future that we are in the process of allowing to be created becomes clearer with each new administration proposal and the end will be devastation. Let's at least hope that it's partly from ignorance or tunnel vision.

Another first for George....The first time in the nuclear era theat the US has abandoned a major arms control treaty. And in this case, Bush targets both what he perceives as enemies and allies.

Goodness, we can't have any constraints on the use of military power. It takes a warmonger like Bush to be the first President in decades to refuse to operate within the framework of international arms control agreements. Now he can proceed to build up the military so that his war can go on forever. It has nothing to do with terrorists. Missile defence is not useful protection from terrorist as we saw on 9/11.

"It's a WASTE OF MONEY!!!"

Particularly so in light of his determination to wipe all evildoers from the face of the earth. Who would the ABM defend against, Aliens from Faraway Dark Stars?

He's being thought of as insane around the world and peaceful nations are expressing fear because of his policies and his speeches.

As well they should! These "plans" are the usual, typical Republican methods of getting taxpayer dollars funneled into the hands of their buddies. Eisenhower did it, Ronald Reagan did it *BIG TIME*, Bush, Sr. did it and Now -- more than all of them combined, Bush is trying to STEAL our money to get to his frineds in the millitary-industrial complex! You know, Ropnald Reagan by himself stole over a TRILLION taxpayer dollars in this way! And now, with a bottomless limit on borrowing (yes, I know, there is a limit in place, but it moves at his will).

When Reagan began the push to 'star wars' I thought that it would be a boondoggle, but after the collapse of the Soviet economy because they'd overextended themselves trying to keep up with the new technological toy I came to think that Ronnie had simply outplayed them and won, and that the program had never been serious. I thought it was a brilliant bluff and hoped that there never had really been such a program.

But now either it was not a bluff and he was serious about it or if he wasn't people like Karl Rove were and are now pressing to get it to be a money pipeline to the industries. I really don't think that any of them expect it to work or to be beneficial, but the taxpayer pot of gold is their goal and that program is a way to it.

These people, the same that Eisenhower warned of, have been frustrated for a long time. Kennedy messed their game up so they shot him. Robert would have done the same so as soon as it was apparent that he'd likely be elected they shot him too. Then Nixon blows it with Watergate and they wait through Ford and Carter. Ronnie was a pretty good puppet for them and they made inroads, but they made a mistake in planning most of their accomplishments for daddy bush's second term and Clinton messed that up by being elected. They sat it out through his time, wasting effort trying to get him removed (the republican attempt to get Clinton legally probably saved his life. If they hadn't had that hope they'd probably have killed him).

Now the whole gang of them are nearing the ends of their lives. So this time they're pulling out all of the stops. They never would have gone to the lengths that they did in the election in the seventies, but now they must feel that there was no other choice. To get as much as possible as quickly as possible they have to have a war and here we are. The lust is for power and money as usual, but the remainder of the hard right hasn't got much time left to get it. It's probable that most of them know that they'll never live to enjoy world domination so instead they'll destroy the world now so no one else can have it either. We're in for a firestorm and most of us will die all because of some superrich cranky old men.

Enjoy.

KRS, these "Old Men" simply bring their sons into the fold and the effort carries on. This Administration has focused on Daddy's "New World Order", which they want to use the supreme economic and industrial might of the USA to provide the actual assets; such as Start Wars and conventional forces. The Goal: World Domination. How? Hang Certain Death From Space above each country, and the country that won't play along gets wiped out! You don't need to shoot nuclear missiles at a city to wipe it out if you are doing it from space - all you need is a large enough rock! But, this group wants to go a step further and create space-based missiles and particle-beam weapons.

But none of that can happen so long as America remains a resilient Democracy.

So, First step is to weaken the Will of the People to turn them into unthinking sheep that will go along with whatever the demands are. You do this by a process that sinks the average American into ignorace ~ hence the constant attack on Public School education, or weren't you all aware of that was the reason why they do it? Then, you need to create a police state in order to keep anyone who figures it out from causing them trouble. Sorry, there ain't no James Bond to go get the Bad Guys!

So, by increasing ignorance of the political process and even basic reading skills, the people need something to fill their heads up. Politics is too difficult a subject, so they use Fundamentalist Christianity. Tell people that Public Schools are bad because they don't preach the Bible at students all day and most of them believe it. These are the people who are ripe for the New World Order!

Now they are accelerating the program, like KRS said. The Sheep all blindly believe their nonsense and believe me: these sheep will be the first ones to turn you into Homeland Defense just for making a wry comment!

GONE are the Bill of Rights! Not yet? Soon! Very, very soon! And then the U.S. Constitution and Democracy right after it. And THEN what the hell will you do? It'll be too fricking late for you or I to do a damned thing!

Enjoy your "freedom" to voice your opinion in public - while it's still allowed!

"these "Old Men" simply bring their sons into the fold and the effort carries on"

Well, that's what they had hoped but their sons have turned out to be largely stupid and victims of the complacency which they've so carefully engineered into the masses. They're weak sons without the drive that was generated by the great depression or the cunning which was necessary during the great wars. The old men believed in a master race of their own progeny, but it's backfired on them much as the biggest portion of their mad schemes have done.

This is their last hope and they will succeed or they will doom us all.

To back up your thought processes, KRS, recall that a Total Idiot was chosen as Bush, Sr.'s Vice-President. Appearently, they wanted Bush, Sr. to do his thing with two terms and then install a Puppet President, namely Dan Quayle. But you're right - Clinton unexpectedly got into the way twice and America learned what it was like to have a REAL President and would never accept Dan Quayle under any circumstances. So, the next chance that they got, they fixed the election and installed another Puppet, Bush, Jr.!

Well, aurora, I was listening to a speech by Bush today and it really struck me. I mean, I used to work with underprivileged kids; the emotionally abused, sexually abused, the retarded kids. And listening to Bush today, it really struck me that Bush really is retarded! I mean, really - not being mean when I say it! I used to joke that he was worse off than Forrest Gump, but seriously, I'd place his I.Q. at just a little bit over that, but not by much more! I just can't believe how *STUPID* Republicans Voters are for putting this man into the Most Powerful Political Office in the World, the United States of America's Presidency! It just boggles the mind at how STUPID they are for doing that ~ and how entirely dangerous a thing that it was to do! Man, but Bush really *IS* badly mentally retarded! Makes you wonder how much money he had to pay Harvard to give him his degree! Christ, what a low I.Q. he has!
