America's sweetheart is being investigated for insider trading. She had a close relationship with the CEO of a cancer vaccine company, selling her shares in the company the day before the FDA rejected the efficacy of Imclone's technology.

old news.............
why would someone with all her money get involved in this.....total GREED if you ask me.
she had 3,000 shares and sold them for $58
so what if she lost all the money she is worth 1000 times more than the value of those shares

I think Martha needs to spend a couple of weeks in Calcutta or the Sudan. Maybe she'd come back with a renewed sense of the value of money.
They never saeem to have enough, do they?

Does this mean I can't use my "It's A Good Thing" thread title anymore? LOL
Joking aside...pretty embarassing for her. Wonder if they'll arrest her like they did the CEO? Maybe it's different 'cause she's an outsider, insider.

Could you imagine her redecorating the interiors of the cells? With pine cones and leaves. How about the Martha Stewart line of Prison Garb? How to make that green stuff they serve on Tuesday more palatable.
There are only 10 types of people in the world
Those who understand binary and those who don't

But...the sheets and pillowcase would surely match. AND be made only from 100% cotton.
Sorry stusi - I've been listing...can you tell?

mlecher- very funny- LOL!!!! Wouldn't it be funny if they made her do a million hours of community service? Her calm demeanor while cooking or decorating would change quite a bit knowing she wasn't making money doing it. It could be a skit on Saturday Night Live!

Well, now I know what has been wrong with me and why I never have any money. I never was a Martha Stewart kind of person. I look at a pine cone and I see a pine cone and durnit, I'd look at a cell and see a cell. She'd have it figured out how to cover the stainless steel toilet seat so it wouldn't freeze your patoot off in two seconds.
Glad other people found some humor in that news yesterday.

Story her spokesperson gave was that SHE called the company after dumping their stock to chew on the fellow that boosted it to her the same day he called his relatives to tell them top dump, and she told him that she could see something was going bad there. She is sharp enough I wouldn't be surprised if it is true since checking the phone logs would verify which way the calls went. I bet she is too smart to invest based on ONE source inside the company.
