This is weird. Two weeks ago I traveled to a bigger city on a lark to some garage sales, bought an advertising item for 25 cents. Put it on Ebay and it sold for $40. The buyer sends me his address and he LIVES ON THE SAME STREET where I went to the sale and bought the item! This street is only a few blocks long, I remembered its unusual name. I don't know what the exact address was, I was just wandering around following signs. But now I am wondering if this guy was gone for the weekend and his wife put some of his stuff in the sale. Maybe he is thinking he is buying another one to go along with his but in reality he is buying his own back! Either that or the buyer just didn't make it to his neighbor's sale for one reason or another and doesn't know he could have saved almost $40 by walking next door! Does this stuff just happen to me or are there other strange stories like this out there???

I think I would write him and ask him and tell him where you bought it. If it was originally his and his wife sold it without his knowledge would you feel obligated to send it back and have him pay only the postage? It's like the advertisement that eBay had a year or so ago about the lamp.

One more thing. This is eBay related, why not ask it on the eBay outlook and see what they have to say. I doubt if many of those sellers come to this board.

You should deliver it and see if it's the same house. It is strange.

Most of the sellers on the EO don't even know about the RT or they're afraid to come over here. I wonder if many of them lurk?

chococake, many of them do lurk. This is one of the few forums on the Internet devoted (in part by its posters) to the nastiest perpetrated by the government, even if being called anti-American because you don't blindly kiss Bush's derriere. For those who are angry about what happened during the last Presidential election and are getting angrier since, this is one place where they can discover others who feel the same way and not feel like they're being unpatriotic by not falling for the baloney coming from Washington. I come here not to change minds, but to meet minds like mine and to learn what the monsters in Washington are up to, to talk about the topics that crop up daily, and once in a while get harassed for my belief that George Bush is not a Deity. I think that more people would post in here if they could feel anonymous, but having to provide a credit card AND post in this climate of political repression can scare many people off. It takes courage to post what you think in here, let alone realize that the FBI is getting a nice thick file on you and every keystroke that you make on your computer so that the Office of Homeland Security can compile Lists of people to be Arrested just as soon as the Bill of Rights can be torn down some more. And that's no joke!

Yea, and I just saw on the news how now the government is checking research habits of suspicious people at the library! Wonder who their people of choice will be?

Helen, would you mind sharing a cell with me? I think we could get along.

I find that very bothersome. The library is already stripped clean of anyhitng that could tell a person how to commit a crime; even books on locksmithing are just not available. Other books on poisons and chemistry that can be used to hurt people or to make home defense items is not there. So what is left is non-leathal and harmless. And this is an excuse for the government to pry upon what books you read?

You have NO privacy and when the time comes and the Office of Homeland Security comes knocking at your door in the middle of the night to make you dissappear, you'll know it wasa because of what you said right here in the RT!

Why should people get angry about the last election? It was the people themselves in Florida that caused the problem. You people seem to forget that if those retired people who voted wrong in the last election had of researched the ballots they would have known how to vote. Oh and BTW ballots that were approved by BOTH the parties. Get over it, there is another election coming up, spend your time and energy on that and maybe you can find a suitable candidate that will be able to stay out of trouble and conduct government business from the oval office.

No I think this is off topic, but since this is the RT (as you put it) Anything goes.

Borillar, yes, it's very disturbing. The libraries are going to fight it, but you know they'll lose.

Libra, wouldn't it be nice if that was the problem, blame it on the seniors, what a joke! It doesn't make any difference which area of that election you want to place the blame, because the fact is Bush bought the presidency. It's just that Florida got caught.

Do you think we're not putting our all into the next election? What worries me is if it happened before it can happen again!

Libra63...

Don't blame only the seniors for improperly voting. How about ALL the voting irregularities. GW actually lost by 1000's of votes in Florida.

He actually lost by a little over a hundred in absentee alone.....

But before anything could be done about it, the Supreme Court stopped all LEGAL investigations and ILLEGALLY APPOINTED GW King/President.

With apologies to hammerchick, all conversations turn to politics in RT.

hammerchick,

I think I would take a drive and see where the address is just to make sure it isn't where you bought the item. This is really weird, as you say.

Chococake, I will consider myself priviledged to share a cell with you! You and I, while incarcerated for recognizing propaganda and the fact that THUGS are not statesmen and POWER is not greatness, will publish the best anti-Bush newsletter in the Nation.

Yeah right I personally know 3 alligators who came up out of the everglades just to vote. Why doesnt florida get rid of that goofy flag and put out a flag designed by a committee we could have this alligator named cgad watching everything.

Libra63: And you seem to be unaware that *alleged* black felons were denied the right to vote, even if the *felonies* they commited happened before they were born, etc. I posted the name of the UK book some threads back but I don't recall it now.

(And no I ain't *back*.)

Helen, once we are imprisoned we also will be felons, and unable to vote. Maybe that's part of the plan. Start sharpening your pencils girl.

It's good to see people post even if they're not here.

Libra, Nobody should ever "get over" the corrupt election of George W. Bush. Maybe it should be added to the pledge of allegience to the flag as a reminder that in this counry such corruption should never happen again.

I'm not sure but I believe that Nycyn was referring to a book by Greg Palast, an investigative reporter. I have added links to a couple of short articles by Palast about the disenfranchisement of the Black voters in Florida.

I hate to tell you this but if they would have recounted the ballots in Wisconsin Gore wouldn't have won here. Cigarettes were given to the homeless by the "democrats" so they would go and vote. Yes, they have this on video tape but it was not pursued. It was shown on all the news channels Now tell me that isn't corrupt.

Now tell me what happened in the White House when Clinton was President was okay with you.

The Election is DONE, FINISHED move on, what good is to rehash something you can't change. Voting in America has always been corrupt, think about the people in Chicago.

Well folks it is time for me to leave this forum as I see people in here with one track minds. Start this new day with a smile on your face, and think of it as a new beginning. I bet you will feel better.

As I stated previously hammerchick, post your question in the eBay outlook and there you will definately get the right answer.

That incident of cigarettes for the homeless was started by one individual, not sanctioned by the democratic party. She acknowledged that the photos were doctored to make it appear that more people were involved. Gee, I am surprised that the state of Wisconsin has that many homeless voters.
The number of voters involved in your case is miniscule compared to the number of voters turned away and abused of their rights to vote in Florida.
You ask if everything that Clinton did in the White House was okay with me. The answer to that is a resounding YES.

If you feel that your mind is one track, try reading the links that I provided above and you might change your opinion. It is difficult to keep a smile on your face when the truth is so perfectly clear that the election was corrupt and known throughout the world as corrupted by the Bush administration.

Interesting reads by Greg Palast. Good thing he can not be printed in the main stream press... Seems he is too liberal for them. Just goes to prove how the media is controlled by the conservatives.

P.S. Libra, when the supream court stepped in and appointed GWB as President, it did so quoting no law or precident. By it's own standards it is almost an indefensable position. When our right to select our president is taken from us by a group of neo fascist tricksters in florida I say we should NEVER forget. We should NEVER allow it happen again. We MUST remember their names and call them to task when they come up for election again.

Well I made it thru two sentences and when I saw the guy couldn't spell I left.

(Re:nycyn--We regret to tell you that she has passed away. It's a terrible tragedy and we are all very broken up about it. However--ornery, cantankerous, homewrecker that she was (even with that she hasn't gottenlaid since 1995!), she continues to express occassional outrage which we channel from her grave. May God bless her miserable soul! "Drinks all around!" were in fact her last words...)

(P.S. No response necessary. Since she's dead she won't notice.)
