What do you think they'll find up there ? Enron and Worldcom executives ? How about all that money Enron gave him ? Maybe some Gore ballots and several Supreme Court justices ?

Its not a real big deal to have a colonoscopy, but you are sedated, and it is not fun either. I know, I've had 2 of them done, and the other procedure, when they found something.

I can see giving Cheney the reigns while this is being done, they'd do this if he was being sedated for wisdom teeth being pulled.

I understand everyone heres dislike of the man, but I can't see joking about it. Sorry, that is just IMO only. I wouldn't joke about anyone having this done.

Wonder if there would be jokes if they were to find out the man has colon cancer...

Helenjw, maybe I myself am being too sensitive about it all. I've had too many friends, and most of my family is gone, due to cancers and one specifically from colon cancer.

So when I hear about anyone having this done, I know whats it like, and its not pleasant.

I do not know Bush personally, but in the article, he's already had polyps removed, in 1998, is what it said.

Why would I think ahead like that, and think anyone would be so callous? I don't know.
And 'I don't know' is the best answer I can give to you right now.

Over the past 7 years, I've had about 10 surgeries. 5 major. And I will continue to have them. I have one scheduled for July 3. Right in the middle of our moving. I don't tell anyone, but now I did, but after about the first 3 I quit telling my own father, because he would have to fly out here, and I just don't want him to go the trouble, he's way too old.

So now that I've gone into way too much, I'll just say, I'm sorry Reamond,if I was coming down on you for your comments.

Ouch, Gravid! I had 2 where they sedate you, and I had one in office, where they are supposed to be less 'invasive' (yeah right!)

Helenjw, I am not, nor ever wanted sympathy, I shouldn't have put it out there.

Frankly, I am way too used to this. Since I was small, because thats where the major stuff started, and I'm sure my father was glad when I got my own insurance

Unfortunatly I am pretty hard to knock out. Once they gave me sodium pentathol and the doc said count backward from 10 - so I ran through back to zero and asked if he wanted anything else? He looked alarmed at me and asked if I didn't feel anything? I said yeah I feel real fuzzy and my hands are all numb. Then I drifted off - about 40 seconds later than he liked. When they were doing the colonoscopy he was talking with the assistant and I asked a question and he poked me in the kidney and said "Shut up you are supposed to be knocked out." Never was out 100% and when they took me to recovery the nurse was surprised to see my eyes open. She said would you like a little ice to suck on or something? I said how about a rare Porterhouse smothered in mushrooms? She just rolled her eyes - so we stopped and had it on the way home.

Not to worry, this is all just another coverup. They're really going to try to get his head out of there again. No camcer involved.

Gravid -Porterhouse steak

I'm easy to knock out, didn't think I would. They've always done the start at 100 count backwards, I don't think I've ever hit 98

krs, no, I doubt very seriously there will be any camcer involved.

What, for once does the cat have Helenjw's tongue or maybe she has a sprained wrist.

The American Cancer Society and the AMA are asking everyone to have either a Air Contrast Barium enema or endoscopy at age 40 for a base line. This is probably as deadly as Breast Cancer, but like breast cancer if caught early enough it is cureable. Once the baseline examination is done, then they can compare the base line one with subsequent ones.

It may not be funny to have a colonoscopy but people joke about it all the time. I am quite sure that Jay Leno and Dave Letterman will have afew jokes on their shows about it. That's what we do in America. We make fun of things that make us uncomfortable. No big deal.
