Authorities are looking for a Green Chevy Astrovan with this plate, as someone said a girl resembling Elizabeth Smart was spotted in this vehicle.

I did not catch where the vehicle was supposedly spotted but certainly it would be easier to spot in California or another state where the plate would stick out.

Lincoln, Nebraska is where the sighting took place and they are now saying the van may be grey or light blue.

With the attention this case is getting, you'd almost think so Borillar. The media makes it sound like she's the only missing girl in the U.S. It's almost beyond saturation.

I sure apologize if nycyn and stusi are friends and what I see as jabs are just goofing around. That's why I asked....I don't know for sure.

Most criminals in our area are found based on auto ID. Not too long ago, a bank robber was using a bicycle as a get-a-way vehicle and he successfully robbed many banks before he was caught.
I certainly hope that this lead will help but at this late date, I rather doubt it. It is unfortunate that there is a disproportionate amount of attention to cases based on wealth or high profile considerations leaving so many other similar cases that we never hear about.

kraft- thanks for the concern, but Helen can't see a jab by nycyn for what it is as she is blinded by the light of nycyn's infinite wisdom. I have on occasion put the Doublemint twins on ignore as they can be very exasperating when it comes to seeing beyond the tip of their respective noses-perhaps due to the thickness of their rose-colored glasses. Perhaps we might get back to the thread.....

I think I just saw the van in a carwash with green paint running into the storm drains of Hoboken.
It was a van, right? Or have I got my AW APBs mixed up?

Helen- it's interesting that kraft asks questions of nycyn and YOU continue to answer them. Are you actually one and the same person? You are SOOOO good at referencing previous posts, but SOOOO bad at showing what lead up to them. Continuing the "jabs" at every possible opportunity is childish and goading. Responding to specific statements as I have done is at least intended to provoke discussion of the issues. Referring to one who would give comfort to the enemy as a "terrorist" is both appropriate and accurate. Let's get back to the thread at hand.

nycyn- Once again you have felt compelled to post in a thread without having anything to add. If it is a stupid thread then you are all the more stupid for posting here. The initial reports were sketchy and then became more specific. If in fact this improbable info turns out to lead to this poor girl you would certainly be expected to eat your foolish words. If it was your child you might not think it was so stupid.
kraft- nycyn has so graciously volunteered to illustrate the source of conflict. See the pattern?
