In a whirlwind year of invitations to speak Bill Clinton has earned some $9.2 million dollars trying to meet the demand. Though he only has accepted a small percentage of received invitations he has spoken in different countries on consecutive days, and made more than one speech in different locations on the same day. He has also accepted dozens of invitations and spoken for no money at all.
He is believed to have broken all records in the speaking industry.
This would seem to be a measure of the regard in which he is held around the world as no one is obligated to either invite or to pay him.
