Remember Sun City in South Africa? Apartheid was in full swing so no bands would play there. Soon after apartheid was abolished, so just maybe....

Israel has always been shunned, the reason being that Israel is surrounded by oil-rich Arab nations. The actions of the Arab nations are reminiscent of Hitler's blaming the Jews for the decline of Germany's economy. The whole affair is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Palestinians work in Israel, participate in Israeli politics and have an equal say, unlike in the Arab nations. The idea that Israel is committing "genocide" is a patent lie. As Reamond has pointed out, it is the freedom of the West that irks Arab leaders. Those leaders don't hesitate to use children as pawns in their games.
Israel can do without the world's "good will." Because for Israelis it's always, always been a matter of survival. Many Israelis were survivors of Hitler's death camps, and they know perfectly well the cost of defeat.
Nobody is giving Israel any handouts. The money the U.S. sends is payment for covert spying and operations. Israel doesn't need or care about whether Bruce Springsteen or Eric Clapton come to Tel Aviv.
Those pointing fingers should realize that if Israel diappeared from the landscape tomorrow, Islamic Jihad would remain. Few nations have the power to stand up to the Arab League. The U.S. is one of those nations. Without Israel, who do you think would top the list of targets?
Israel is doing everything it can to negotiate peace, a secure and defensible peace. But as we've seen recently, comes a time when negotiations are no longer useful, and then all hell breaks loose.

I do not have trouble understanding the fears of the entertainers for their safety. And yes, because of this fear, terrorism wins.
The idea that Israel is committing "genocide" is a patent lie. And I have trouble understanding how anyone or any country can see that fact differently.
