Typical of those liberal SOB's. Always wanting what's good for the country. Don't they realize they are going to anger the real rulers of the country.

The bill signed into law yesterday was merely to placate the angry beast(the public). If the public remains angry, more will be done. If the public calms down, their work is done and they can go on to robbing the poor and giving to the rich.

What will the public do? Well consider this:
1. The public, as a whole, are idiots.
2. The public, as a whole, have very short-term memories.

They will accept this as the be-all, end-all bill of corporate fraud. At least until the next ENRON or Worldcom failure and then they will ask why aren't they going to jail. The answer being: the law doesn't cover THAT.

Yeah, I had tears in my eyes too as Lieberman gave a speech to the exhaultation of the crowd. Only I was thinking about how he single-handedly torpedoed the last bill like this a few years ago.
