I seen on one of the shows about 9-11-01, that the Pentagon had a craft store? I didn't think anyone could go to the pentagon and look around? Is it open to everyone, or is the craft store open just for workers? That don't make sence??

You are right, basketman. That makes no sense.
All Pentagon tours are cancelled now.

Then I suspect the workers at the gift shop have little to do. No problem it's just tax money. Saw a piece on TV about a fellow hired by a federal agency and he sat for 3 or 4 years waiting for somebody to give him something to do. He had a nice office. Would come in and read the papers - listen to a little Mozart every day. Take a long lunch call some buddies on the phone. Not his fault. He was available and willing to work.

I remember back in 1983, where they discovered that there was still an intelligence gathering department on U-Boats! Although the War had ended in 1945, the department went on. As employees and management retired, new ones would work their years and retire as well. Until, that is, that they got discovered. Just like that tax surcharge that we were paying for the Spanish-American war up to about two or three years ago. >LAF!<

It it only makes you wonder how many more of these "departments" are still in operation from the vairous wars and crisises of the past century.

YOU FOLKS DON'T SEEM TO KNOW ABOUT FEDERAL BASES. THE CRAFTS STORE IS WHERE THEY MAKE PLASTER OF PARIS THINGS AND SUCH. NO CIVILIANS ARE PERMITTED IN THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. RETIRED, ACTIVE, SPOUSES AND ALL OTHER GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES ONLY. THEY WOULD NEVER ALLOW CIVILIANS TO MAKE A PLASTER OF PARIS STATUE OF JESUS IN THERE. NEVER!!

Thanks Jack. I was wondering what kind of crafts they might sell at the Pentagon. I thought perhaps little pentagons made of popsicle sticks.
