Cross border raids are an old tradition in that part of the west...Southwest of El Paso there is a prominent ranching family named Terrazas, their family and mine used to routinely send vaqueros either north or south to raid each other's herds...we were friendly enemies tho' as many of my cousins today are Terrazas....it had been going on before there was a border, and a silly line on a map was not about to stop anyone! historical perspective FYI....
