As you get in your 50's lust starts to look like a sports car that gets bad mileage and breaks down too easy when you need a warrenty , road service, and can handle a little baggage with love.

faling in love...

How about love your enemy? Isn't that in our best interest with the technology of death so awful today.

Although I don't know a lot about religion, I do know that most of the laws of good conduct probably originated in religious teaching. For example, love your neighbor, be forgiving, be merciful, be kind to other creatures, take care of the helpless... etc...and love your enemy.

And in the book of genesis isn't everyone advised after the creation to "keep it". Now George can't wait to blow away innocent people.

Maybe someone with a knowledge of biblical teaching can explain this to me. If George is a good religious man, why isn't he following his god's directives?

I have seen the most spiteful and hateful people on this board who claim to believe in outrageous nonsense related to religion. Why is it that they don't accept the good message from the bible that I have related above?

helen,
you raise a good point, why blow away innocent people??
but what about us if someday we are all blown away with saddeim nuclear warfare, camel box, opiate gas etc.
a few thousand good people have already been blown away on 9/11.
true,it would be nice if we can just target the bad ones and spare the innocent.

But there is no credible evidence that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11 and no evidence that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction with the ability to deliver them to the United States. Actually, the US did sell Saddam sixty helicopters during the Reagan administration. These helicopters were used to spray Kurds with chemical weapons. Iraq used mustard gas against Iran with help from the CIA. Throughout Saddam's violence to his neighbors, we have been right there with help. As Pogo says, "we have met the enemy and the enemy is us."

The United States as a "Super" power is losing it's power. We are losing our alies throughout the world to fight a war for George Bush and his corporate buddies and the real goal of that war is power and oil. In the meantime, real threats to this country are being ignored. Forty million Americans are suffering from inadequte health care. That's a real threat to our well being. The high cost of prescription drugs is another real threat. Unemployment is another real threat. The slowdown of the economy and corporate crime is another real threat. Saddam is not.

Problems in this country right now are more destructive than Saddam's pitiful army and questionable supply of weapons which he hasn't used in eleven years and would be a fool to use now.

A recent study found that men who had sex more than twice a week are half as likely to die than men
who had sex less than once a month," reports Cleveland's WEWS-TV. Funny, we thought everyone
stood a 100% chance of dying.

Another interesting thought is that the world is seen in terms of it's usefulness to the United States. For example, the press distinguishes between the people who matter and those who don't matter. The people who died in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, mattered. But the people who died in Afghanistan didn't matter...even though the number of people who died in Afghanistan was greater. The people who will die in Iraq will not matter either if you follow the propaganda.

Isn't that interesting?
