Can you believe it? I heard a blurb on CNN saying this can be done now, but they're concerned over the ethics. I didn't catch it all but I wasn't sure of the application, whether it was for burn victims, accidents, etc. Do you think a face transplant would be unethical?

It would depend on the person receiving the transplant, IMO. Think of the possibilities for criminals on the run. Or for con artists.
The transplants are for people who've been disfigured by accidents or disease, and those born with a deformity. But you know that it wouldn't take long before someone put it to illegal use.
Also, if they can now transplant faces, they should also be able to transplant skin & tissue from fingers. So, your fingerprints are known to the police, FBI, CIA, whatever, and you... Censorship, like charity, should begin at home; but unlike charity, it should end there --Clare Booth Luce
