Seems the Pope was directly involved in shuffling the child preditors around the parishes.

We should ask KatyD, as she's our local resident expert specialist on Catholocism. After all, no sense getting a good conversation going on this and having it completely removed - again. Better to have KatyD give Her Personal Seal of Approval on this topic before we continue . . .

This is all so very, very sad. If priests are convicted of molestation they should serve a sentence just like anyone else would. If those in charge allowed this abuse to continue then, IMO, they too should be punished. BUT I also agree with KatyD's belief that it's easy for accusations to be made [for many reason's] that might not be true.

I have much respect for KatyD and while she is passionate in her beliefs, she just tries to present 'another side' of this issue. I certainly can't fault her for that.

The "accusation" that the Pope actually instructed Cardinal Law to merely reassign the priests is supported by and was discovered via a letter from the Pope to Law after Law wrote a letter to the vatican asking how to handle the situation.

Even the Pope was more concerned about scandel than the little children being raped.

No, it's actually a valid request. The last time that REAMOND and I were intellectually discussing an issue about the catholic church, KatyD objected and began to throw a fit in order to prevent us from discussing the issue between ourselves. When that didn't work, she went to AW and had them remove the entire thread.

Now, since this is another issue reguarding the catholic church and it looks like it might be interesting to discuss, I'd rather not be wasting my time if KatyD should decide to once again go complain to AW and have this thread removed as well. She did it once, therefore she can do it again, since it is on the same subject, more or less.

LoL! LindaK and Junquemama!

Borillar, thank you, but I've already eaten today and I'm not interested in your bait. But I know you love me and I'm really sorry I'm unable to reciprocate your feelings. I do hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Edited due to objections.
Perhaps they don't think the pope is infallible.
That was my understanding.
