It is being reported that a jet passed within 30 feet of a Hawaiian highrise. No confirmation yet as to whether it was a commercial airliner or whether terrorism is suspected.
"Federal aviation officials said a jumbo jet was slightly off-course when it approached Honolulu's airport but not enough to substantiate claims by high-rise residents that it flew dangerously close to their building." Censorship, like charity, should begin at home; but unlike charity, it should end there --Clare Booth Luce

A few that were interviewed said (1) they looked out their window and could see the faces of the passengers in the plane - and (2) some stated it was only 30' away from their building. A little too close for comfort. Narrow escape for all. I'll be interested in reading what the pilot's reason was for flying so close to the building.

All those people in the highrise are just fools like the rest of us citizen units. They don't have degrees in aeronautical engineering so they can't tell if they are looking up or down at a 747.
Beside that the US needs China to rein in that funny haired little mad man in N. Korea right now so it is sure not the time to complain about any silly little thing like jumbo jets buzzing a highrise.
