"I've been in the Congress for 25 years," he told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "I've seen every major issue and every major problem. My experience gives me the ability to bring to this campaign some fresh thinking and ideas."
So where have these ideas and thinking been for the last 25 years?
The Dems are gonna lose in 2004 because they don't have a candidate that generates any heat, not because Bush is so popular. I take that back, Hillary generates heat but it's all negative.

Actually, Hillary generates a lot of positive heat from Liberals and Democratic supporters. The negative heat comes from the slanted lies and demagoguery of those who are afraid of just how popular that she is.
Those advisers argued that, despite his stature in the party, Daschle faced an uncertain future as a candidate for the nomination and that Bush could be difficult to beat in 2004.

I agree, Helen. It there were more bulldogs like that to bite those Republican butts, the Democrats would have an overwealming majority of the vote. Americans follow courage and scorn weakness in their leaders. That's the failing of the democratic party: no courage, too afraid that the polls might dip.

Too bad that charisma plays such a big part in these things, but it does. And Gephart has all the charisma of a fence post.

It's truly amazing. After the 2000 and 2002 elections, one would think the Dem party, and its leaders, would have learned something. Anything...
But nope, we'll have Bush for another 4 years because the Dem party refuses to listen to, or get in tune with, their supporters (or former supporters).
