Trade Deficit Swells to Record $40.1B

The U.S. trade deficit bulged to a record $40.1 billion in November, reflecting Americans' ravenous appetite for foreign-made goods, especially toys, TVs and clothes
What planet or cave do you suppose this idiot lives on or in ? Americans do NOT a ravenous appetite for foreign-made goods, it is the case that manufacturers have a ravenous appetite for cheap foreign labor.

helen- you mean that you don't have a ravenous appetite for foreign-made goods ?
I think everyone would purchase "made in America" goods, but there are all but impossible to find. Even "American made" cars aren't completely made in America.
I guess we need a new statement such as -- Assembled in America -- to reflect the auto industry.

Right Reamond,
Just recently, I tried to buy a pair of sneakers, for example. Finally, I found that New Balance had several styles Made in America with tags attached and well marked.
But, when I examined the shoes at home, I discovered that the shoes were ASSEMBLED in America from parts made in China.
So, to buy these shoes, I paid a premium price for the Made in America brand and then found that I had been deceived.

And, the reporter is either exaggerating to attract attention to his story or he hasn't been shopping lately.
Nobody that I know has a ravenous appetite for foreign-made goods, especially toys, TVs and clothes.
