There is a new film from Palestine, which has received accolades all over the world. But its not going to receive any important awards, apparently because Hollywood won't recognise Palestine as a country.
Gee. What a bunch of anti-Semites Hollywood must be dominated with!

I'm getting there 'prof'(in your own mind),
It seems certain people don't even want them to have "their own internet domain, using the suffix "ps", "

"a Jewish group in the US, the Anti-Defamation League, says I-Cann should have waited."

"There's no reason to give anybody recognition before it is earned and certified," ADL's national director Abraham Foxman said. "

Makes sense to me.

There are sepratist movements in California and Texas (to name a few) Should they have their own letters too?

It's all about politics, as usual.

I read it...can't say I disagree with much of it...most of it goes without saying. I have always believed our (and your) "news" is carefully filtered and biased...that isn't what I was talking about. You posted two pieces which are clearly editorial in nature..While I don't necessarily disagree with them, they hardly qualify as "news".

edited a bunch of times for stupid reasons, it's early and I just had to go out and dispatch a coyote who didn't understand the rule about messing with the chickens, and the coffee's not ready..

Since when does a sovereign nation worry about being "recognized" by Hollywood? Are they going to exchange ambassadors or something? If anything this is a way of showing how very powerless they are that anyone would worry about such a thing.
