I hope this is some sort of a hoax. Just cannot believe this really could be true.

While the rest of the world fights the AIDS epidemic and most people fear HIV infection, this subculture celebrates the virus and eroticizes it," reports Freeman in the February 6, 2003 edition of ROLLING STONE.

People, this this Drudge for God's sake. Drudge doesn't hire fact-checkers, he would have nothing to say...

This article only proves that mental illness is not strictly a heterosexual disease.

"Drudge" doesn't create the news, he reports it or links to it. I believe the article states that the report is from The Rolling Stone magazine which may or may not publish it in the near future.

In any event, this is not the first I have heard of this. Over 2 years ago I read about it. The article cited gay personal ads referring to "gift givers" and "bug chasers".

But the surprising element of this article is the 25% figure. There are nut cases and extremists in all groups, but 25% is not a fringe situation.

I've never heard of it, but these are pretty crazy times. Still, I would guess that whatever truth is there has probably been sensationalized to increase media consumption.

Drudge has been proven to have lied more times than Clinton! Even on national TV he continued to lie even as the facts proving him a liar were being scrolled beneath him. And he still denies he lied.

Plus he also using a Neo-Conservative method of circular sources. He cites a source who cites a source who cited him originally
