According to the New York Times article below, the four major networks are planning to cut back on dramas and comedies and expand the number of reality TV programs. I seldom watch much TV anymore anyway but from what little I've seen of so-called reality TV, the series seem to be a more elaborate and upscale version of the Jerry Springer-type TV programs. I guess I just don't understand the fascination.

I don't watch them either,Im more into the HBO series, there are no commercials.Anything else seems dull,
On the bright side, some of us will get,
some things finished, around the house..LOL
I did wonder if reality TV might be the entertainment industry's equivalent to fast food. I've read that they're quite a bit cheaper and easier to produce than the dramas and comedies, and God knows, they've been hyped to the hilt.
I've got some major upcoming projects also so I suppose that I should be grateful for one less addiction.

The thing about reality TV is it's so removed from reality. Who eats cow eyes and worms in real life? (I know rawbunzel used to but she gave it up years ago.) Do you know any guys that get to rent expensive mansions so they can have their pick of augmented bimbos? What next? What will we need down the road to give us the same sensationalized feelings? Tipping over people in wheelchairs?? Ugly awards??
