In October of 1942, under the Trading With the Enemy Act, the U.S.
government halted operations at New York's Union Banking Corporation. A
bank official was charged with "Running Nazi front groups in the Untied
States."
His name: Prescott Bush.
Prescott Bush, father of future U.S President George Herbert Walker Bush
and grandfather of George W. Bush, had been hard at work on behalf of his
Nazi partners. In flagrant violation of U.S. law, Prescott Bush had worked
tirelessly to launder money, procure raw materials, arrange transportation
and provide guidance for the Nazi war effort and the German army he had
helped to build.
In April of 2002, George W. Bush -- standing literally on the bones of the
men who fell at Normandy beachhead in mortal combat with that very same
Nazi army -- delivered his Memorial Day address. He said, in part, "This is
a day our country has set apart to remember what was gained in our wars,
and all that was lost."
Let us remember.
As the German army came crashing into Poland, spreading death and
destruction in its path, Prescott Bush continued aiding the Nazis.
As German tanks rolled through the Ardennes Forest and into Paris, Prescott
Bush continued aiding the Nazis.
As Allied forces fighting to defend France were forced literally into the
sea at Dunkirk by the German Army, Prescott Bush continued aiding the
Nazis.
As German war planes rained bombs down on London, killing 50 thousand
English men, women and children, Prescott Bush continued aiding the Nazis.
As millions died at the hands of the most ruthless and violent organization
the world has ever known, Prescott Bush continued aiding them.
And of course, as Hitler and the Nazis planed and carried out the
extermination of Europe's Jews, Prescott Bush was an eager and active
partner.
When did Bush stop? When we made him stop.
In this case, George W. Bush won't have to worry about the US Government
shutting him down. That's been taken care of -- he is the US Government.
As debate rages back and forth across the Atlantic over the morality and
acceptability of this assault against Iraq, it is interesting to note the
German position.
It was Germany who bought most completely into the war lie during the past
century. It was the German people who, with their faith in country and
leadership, and even their loyalty to the Fatherland, made possible the
greatest nightmare the world has ever known. It is those same German people
who stand today before Europe and the world in unflinching opposition to
this latest world conquering force.
How well do the German people know George W. Bush? Better than they want to.

Good Luck in getting this thread going, drkosmos. I posted a similar one last summer and regular posters wouldn't touch it with ten-foot long poles. I went even further to try to show a connection between Prescott Bush's Nazi connections and George Bush Senior's "New World Order" that he announced. Good luck in finding nearly ANYTHING on the Internet or in public libraries that has any dirt on the Bush Family; especially anything that relates to the current holder of the White House.
Before Dubya was nominated as a Presidential candidate, you could find out lots of stuff about him on the Internet, since he was govenor of Texas. His close associations with Texas Seperatist groups and other organizations, how he enjoed going to gay bars with his buddies, and quite a few other things. Now it's all gone.
Try. Try to make the connection between the Nazis in Germany, who were never driven out of office (remember Patton?) and Prescott Bush, George, Senior, and Dubya's efforts to start world wars. Good luck on that, as the Internet only has OPINION and few to no facts.
Try the local library. Bush books have all been replaced with "I Luv Dubya" books. Ask Bunni if there are any books in her library about the Bush family and Dubya's life.

Three firms with which Prescott Bush is associated are seized under the Trading with the Enemy Act.
SARASOTA HERALD-TRIBUNE: The president of the Florida Holocaust Museum said Saturday that George W. Bush's grandfather derived a portion of his personal fortune through his affiliation with a Nazi-controlled bank. John Loftus, a former prosecutor in the Justice Department's Nazi War Crimes Unit, said his research found that Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a principal in the Union Banking Corp. in Manhattan in the late 1930s and the 1940s. Leading Nazi industrialists secretly owned the bank at that time, Loftus said, and were moving money into it through a second bank in Holland even after the United States declared war on Germany. The bank was liquidated in 1951, Loftus said, and Bush's grandfather and great-grandfather received $1.5 million from the bank as part of that dissolution . . . Loftus pointed out that the Bush family would not be the only American political dynasty to have ties to the "wrong side of World War II." The Rockefellers had financial connections to Nazi Germany, he said. Loftus also reminded his audience that John F. Kennedy's father, an avowed isolationist and former ambassador to Great Britain, profited during the 1930s and '40s from Nazi stocks that he owned. "No one today blames the Democrats because Jack Kennedy's father bought Nazi stocks," Loftus said. Still, he said, it is important to understand these historical connections for what they tell us about politics today. The World War II experience points out how easy it was then -- and remains today -- to hide money in multinational funds.

So...now we're going to dredge up everyone's family tree? If one is to be held accountable for what their grandfather and great-grandfather were associated with [if at all true] then ALL must be held to that same accountability.
Wonder how many of you would like to be held responsible for everything your own grandfather or great-grandfather ever did.

Exactly the same number of us that are running this country and turning it into a replica of Nazi Germany like Bush is.
