Prediction:

When it becomes impossible to win and fight on the battlefield the enemy will take the battle to the top and use assasination.

I think that very soon it will be impossible for the president to appear in public at all. Further removing his view of things from reality.

Well, that was a silly article with no substance.

thanks for that link Reamond, somehow I missed it on Wired. I'd like to hear a whole lot more from that guy, maybe they'll have a more complete interview in Wired Magazine.

The part about the use of drugs caught my attention because as I watched Bush as he spoke last night the thought crossed my mind that he was perhaps medicated and so I began studying him closely. The more I studied him, the more likely I thought the possibility.

And, no, I'm not being facetious or satirical.

Yes, I think it quite possible. He's usually very tense and nervous when he speaks. Last night was very critical so one would expect him to show at least a little nervousness. What first caught my attention was the changes in facial expression, a wavering focus, etc.

Glad to hear that Dan. I'd hate to think you were smoking the old tomato plants.

Really. There's lots of things to attack Bush about. But insinuating that he's "drugged" is pretty low. Just like harping on Clinton about Monica was low.

You're better than that.

Don't judge everyone by yourself, Katy.

I never said, nor even insinuated, that I thought that it would be a bad thing. And as a matter of fact, I don't. It was much easier to listen to him than usual. And as I think about it, the practice may not be all that unusual among politicians.

I didn't realize I was "judging" you, Dan. But if you say so....

As far as the "drugging", I have to disagree with you.

So how did I misread that statement, Katy?

>The more I studied him, the more likely I thought the possibility.

I captured the video of it from CSPAN. I've looked back at it and it DOES look like Bush, well, is a bit different than usual. I mean, his body language was different, his expressions were different, almost arrogant, a tinge paranoid. Almost as if he wasn't really himself . . .

antiquary,Ive drawn faces and profiles all my life, expressions are my favorite. I saw Bush, do something with his mouth,in his speech last nightThe left side of his mouth was pursed and he made a perfect O with the right side. This happened close to the end of the speech.I have never seen any one do this,It blew my mind.Im hopeing someone got a picture of that.

Junquemama, I remember your sharing your drawings and cartoons with us. They were great. You really do have a talent and I know it requires very acute observation of detail.

Prof- there is a book by Alvin Toffler that if I remember correctly is called War and Anti-War.

The title is somewhat misleading, because the subject matter of the book is the same as that article. If you enjoyed the article you'll like the book- although I don't recall much about drugs in the book.
