I always liked the black beauties but they don't make them anymore. This has been going on for a long time.

I couldn't read it Reamond, some SUV ad was on top of it all, saying loading!

Black beauties? if your talking about speed, yes, I think, not sure, but they were giving those out since the Korean War?

Yes, Black Beauties are speed. When I was in school they were must have helpers for anyone with who needed to pull an all nighter... or lose 10 lbs.

No kidding REAMOND. The mixed message has always been there. Prescribed drugs are just as dangerous as street drugs, maybe even more so because of their purity. How a government can say it's OK for it's employees to take methamphetamines, but it's not OK for sick people to smoke pot. To me that's barfable.

Soldiers on speed and the military doctors saying that there are no ill affects. Then why not sell it over the counter and allow atheletes use it ?

Because you have to be trained on how to use it so you don't become addicted.

Tolerance to amphetamines develops very quickly requiring an increasing amount to achieve the same effect.

There is no training in the military for using these drugs. If fatigued, they issue the drugs, if you refuse, you're grounded and your career is ruined. There have been just as many addicts created and ill side effects ignored under a doctors supervision as with street drugs. Military doctors are the last I would trust.

Dexedrine's manufacturer, GlaxoSmithKline, warns that the drug may cause a lack of coordination, headache, dizziness, mood changes, uncontrollable twitching, irritability, nervousness, sexual problems and paranoia.

This is why I mentioned tolerance and the need to increase dosage to maintain the same effect. Usually on a prescribed dose, these symptoms would not occurr.
