The weather says that the heaviest snow will come tonight...another 12" maybe. Will this snow EVER stop in the Washington DC area????

What's it like where you live? Comeon...someone tell me about sunshine and warm temps. Gives me faith that Spring WILL come to our area!

Helen, they're forecasting about 2 feet here, but we're getting snowfall rates of 2-4 inches per hour, and it's supposed to get worse tonight. DH already has cabin fever!

Stay in and warm. It's 11 here, and -4 with the wind chill, but it has started blowing.

Snowboarding tomorrow, anybody?

About 3-4 inches here in Jersey after 2 hours of snow.
Just came home from plowing @ some commercial customers.
Going to be a long & sleepless next 24 hours!
Maybe longer if the weather man is right!

Very cold but not much snow in Detroit area.
We just keep seeing all the snow pass south of us.

Helen...you're in Maryland? Me too. Just heard the weather and they're saying another 8" to 10" before we wake up! We've got sleet here now...should make for a nice cleanup Also, said that it will be 36 hours after the snow stops tomorrow before the roads are passable.

Helen, I heard that also. Not to worry...I probably won't get out of my driveway until Thursday We bought a new snowblower in 1996 and this will be the 2nd real workout that he's gotten.

We bought a snowblower at an estate sale this year! Hope it works!!! This will be a real test.

Our little street is the last to be plowed so I may be here for a week.

Lower Slower Delaware here. It's finally stopped snowing and they've changed the forecast for tomorrow to rain instead of snow. We live in the country and our driveway is 300' long and our roads are the last to get plowed. I went to the grocery store on Saturday. AND no work for me tomorrow. Yippee!!!!! Barbara

It was 20 below zero when I got up this morning. Not including any wind chill. Right here in Beautiful Saratoga County NY, warmed up to about 5 degrees above. Going up into the 20's tomorrow... It will seem like a heat wave.
Amen,

Neon,

It's sleeting now. Soon the lines will be frozen and break and we will have no electricity. Then, I'll be on my way. LOL!

Don't feel guilty.

I've lived in the bitter humid cold of the east and the "dry cold" of the midwest. I got my fill of cold, snow, sleet, and hail and just kept moving west.

I'll stock up on sunscreen for you all

Hope we're snowed in!
I've been snowed in,in a truck since 4 this morning and may be in it at 4 this morning!

Some places I've plowed today have had as much as 31" and it's still snowing lightly here!

We've spent the day "trying" to dig out. We used the snowblower on the paved driveway (that thing is worth it's weight in gold". We've still got 300 yards of gravel road to clear! Since the snow is higher than the bumper on my Honda...I probably won't dig completely out til the weekend!

In the DC area, the federal gov't has closed for tomorrow. Most area businesses are still closed...so, at least I don't have to worry about working tomorrow

I think that we should all go to Neons

Worth it's weight in gold! You can say that again!!!
It was fantastic!!! The snow was way too heavy for a shovel. We're not out of the woods yet though. LOL!
Some places drifted to waist high depths.

I'll be so happy to see a plow come down out street. Good luck tomorrow.
