Carolyn Parrish was speaking to reporters about Canada's diplomatic initiative on Iraq. At the end of her comments, after most of the cameras were turned off, Parrish said, "Damn Americans. . . . I hate those bastards."
Parrish hastened to put out a puzzling statement: "My comments do not reflect my personal opinion of the American people and they certainly do not reflect the views of the government of Canada."

As a Canuck I think she should resign. If for no other reason than being retarded enough to say what she said in public.
At the least, for actually thinking such a thing.
Americans and Canadians are to me very much cousins and will always be on the same side of the fence.

If she was talking about the U.S. government, I think she should stay. If she was referring to U.S. citizens, she should go.
The U.S. has put Canada in an awkward position in that we have to join in on the whole security thing by spending billions on borders, etc. Still, if you want to cross the border, the U.S. makes it very difficult, even if you work in the U.S. If the U.S. didn't keep reminding Canada of its lack of defense, I'd tell them to pound salt & look after their own borders, all while blowing pot smoke rings in their faces.
