The Marshall Islands are drowning.
Remember the ones? You forcibly relocated them to test your A-Bombs.
Island Countries such as this one are the 1st to be destroyed as a result of Global Warming.

Thank you, for being the biggest, most consistently inconsiderate, short-term profit driven, nastiest and down right dirtiest, contributor to Global Pollution of MY world.

Perhaps instead, we can look forward to a Global Nuclear Winter, brought on by weapons that you ‘gave the world’ and have the most of.
Damn You & Damn Us, for not changing your ways.

We Leave it in Your Capable Hands.

x-treme Right need not respond with 'Your Welcome'.

It is true that many of the low-lying atolls that we fought over for airstrips in WWII are now permanently beneath the waves. The coastline of Florida is in BIG trouble of seawater permanently flooding inland and reducing the state to a few scattered islands. And there might very well be a Global Warming trend. However, my mind was changed here in the RT that Global Warming is not a guarantee and that the connection between Man and Global Warming is tentative at best.

I know, you're shocked, austbounty. But go try to find the "Smoking Gun" scientific report that states that humans are causing Global Warming. I look hard for a long time and I never found that connection. At best, what scientists are saying is the phenomenon is on such a huge scale with so many different things interacting to cause a Global Warming if such exists, that it will take many years from many scientific disciplines just to have something tangible to submit to Congress or the UN as a Smoking Gun. Even then, it might not hold water. Go look for yourself if you don't believe me.

And now the end is near
So I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

It's the secret game plan.
Enough nukes will have to be set off to stop runaway global warming.

As long as they're being set off anyway......

Not to be insensitive or anything but . . .

Here in the frigid northeast we could use a little Global Warming about now. Global Warming is sure not evident here this winter.

Bush called for a "100 percent effort" from the United States and the rest of the world to curb greenhouse gas emissions.

That means he acknowledges the fact of global warming.

Bush
"I will not accept a plan that will harm our economy and hurt American workers."

That means he doesn’t think it important enough., when compared to money.
Philanthropist he ain’t.
So he sees it as collateral damage.

U.S. has just six percent of the world's total population yet produces a quarter of the globe's carbon dioxide.

The responses so far show the same callous nature as demonstrated by PNAC.
The American sub culture (not all just most), which has shown itself on these boards, shows little concern for others, in many ways.
Claim to debate with logic and finally say, well; might makes right.

"And never ONCE has Austi thanked the U.S for keeping all those Aussies from speaking Japanese."

Bear, I believe the Americans got what they wanted from Australia. They were looking for an air force base and according to MacArthur had no interest in protecting Australia. Maybe we owe thanks to Australia.

"But, according to the documents, MacArthur refused to give an ironclad guarantee, insisting there was no special relationship between Australia and the US. Indeed, he would argue, it was Britain, not the US, that had responsibilities to Australia through "ties of blood, sentiment and allegiance to the Crown".

"The United States was an ally whose aim was to win the war," MacArthur had told Curtin. "It had no sovereign interest in the integrity of Australia."

The minutes continued: "Though the American people were animated by a warm friendship for Australia, their purpose in building up forces in the Commonwealth was not so much from an interest in Australia but rather from its utility as a base from which to hit Japan ... this course of military action would probably be followed irrespective of the American relationship to the people who might be occupying Australia."

Dr Edwards said the minutes showed MacArthur rejecting "with brutal clarity" Curtin's hope that the US might step into the role of Australia's "protective big brother".

"From what MacArthur said, it would not have mattered if Australians had brown or black or purple skins ... or if they spoke 38 different languages, all incomprehensible to American ears," he said. "The Australian landmass offered a geographically convenient base for American forces, and that was all that mattered to American policy makers."
