What a great staged photo, eh? As if he's actually deciding anything not already decided for him by his trainers.

One point is that a fine photographer must be employed to create the illusion that George Bush is thinking - while we are on the brink of war. We know that our president is a puppet on a string and that his every move is choreographed and his every word is scripted.

"President Bush on Wednesday night was to make the ultimate call whether to strike and invade Iraq with military force, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned."
He couldn't be expected to make a calm, rational decision without Wolfowitz's sage counsel.

Hey helen, do you remember the "paparatsi photographer" who managed to sneek past the secret service agents and take a photo of Bill Clinton and Hillary hugging on a beach? Right in the middle of the Monica scandal??
What a joke that was! They took us for a bunch of idiots.
Photographers were always present to catch Clinton walking out of church every Sunday with a bible in his hand. Great prop!
I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that Clinton would jog past photographers and get picked up in a limo at the next block.

It looks to me like he's praying. Head bowed eyes closed. But...then you're the one that's always quoting Bible verses, Helen.

My suggestion, that the photograph captured the illusion of a thinking George, generated a few lame bird comments from ebayauctionguy and LindaK. I suppose birds of a feather *think* together.

Linda,
You are getting way off topic. This thread is about George Bush and his photo and the possibility that he might make a decision.
Anyway, it's the fundamentalists who exhibit hate...not me.

No Helen - The thread was about a picture of our President. Some making projections that he was 'thinking', me saying it looked like he was praying. Not off topic at all....just another point of view.

But since you brought it up and again and took my remark out of context, I will repeat the same remark in it's entirety.
Conservative christian fundamentalists justify their greed based on their self serving interpretation of the bible. The fact that they believe that taxing poor people is moral doesn't surprise me. May they all go to the hell in which they also believe.
Helen
Linda, you should know by now that you can't take my remarks out of context and get away with it. LOL!
Helen
STAY ON TOPIC!

Get away with it? You're the one who spews the hate speech against Christians every opportunity you get Helen. You apply your anti-Christian beliefs to every topic you can. Nothing mis-understood at all.

It would be wonderful if he could think. Now that we are on the brink of war with the mid-east, we need serious thought, not prayer.
As you say, "just another point of view, Linda.

I remember when Colin Powell use to look at the reporters in the face, and talk one on one.Powell no longer does this,he has to read everything, with shooting glances at the press.
Just pointing out obvious body language.

If you're speaking about the first picture in this thread...I think he looks quite relaxed.
If you're referring to the pictures in your URL, maybe because they're being photographed when their speaking....making a stong point? You never had a bad picture of you taken? Never saw a bad picture of anyone on the left? And they are dealing with very serious issues....not much to make one continually smile while discussing those issues.

You seem to "see" the possibility that George is praying. I suspect that Rumsfeld is either crying or praying in this one.
It's frightening to see so may of our leaders in contorted dialog with an omnipotent being...if that is the case.
BBL...

junquemama - I'd say Powell has been quite busy lately and is probably doing his best to convince the 'doubters' he's working to do what he believes is in our country's best interest. Stress does change our facial features.
Helen - You're just getting petty. So a photo catches anybody using their hands or arms in a form of expression. BIG DEAL.

---------------------------
Linda,If Powell were being honest, there would be no "doubters".
Stress contorts a persons face trying to sell an un-popular war.
The next thing stress does, and has done to millions is death.
Rumsfield face shows fear, and now his voice shows more weakness.
War has a way of turning some men totaly mad, from fear.
