Doesn't sound like they were seriously prepared to help us anyway.
"Canada has around 30 armed forces personnel serving with the U.S. and British contingents in the Gulf and has contributed two warships to a naval force currently stationed in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf."

bones - Yea....30 soldiers out of what 300,000. Don't think that will be a problem.
On the ships, Irene recently told me they were headed to the gulf to help keep the peace in Afghanistan and not going to Iraq anyway. That no decision has been made by her country [at that point].

Yeah, those 30 soldiers can go on home and relax. We'll have to take care of business (as usual). Thanks for telling me about the purpose of those ships. That makes sense.
No telling what kind of "Made in France" goodies we're going to find in the next few weeks. It won't last long. And we will find out who are friends are.

Actually when the sh*t hits the fan, Canada will be there along side UK and us for the long haul... we can count on them.
