We have young men and women in Iraq laying their lives on the line (some wounded or have given their life), handing out food to starving people. Some scared to death and some gung ho. Some POW'S already.
I'm having a demonstration on this board to support the soldiers who are fighting this war and are going to win it!!!!
This isn't about oil. This isn't about Bush. It's about our Troops.
Anyone want to join me?

Whether we are in favor of war or not, we all support the troops without question. Hopefully, the war will be short so that most of them will be able to return safely.
My heart goes out to each one and to their families, with special consideration and sympathy for those who have a loved one who does not return.

I'm Proud To Be An American, where at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me....so I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today .......
to send a BIG THANK YOU !! to all who have served our great country, have given their lives to our great country and all that currently serve and put themselves at risk for our country.
Semper Fi and a salute to all who serve, and have served, in our Armed Forces. THANK YOU!!!!

I don't know how many of you are getting some of the personal bios on some of the soldiers killed but because so many of them were from or stationed in San Diego we are learning about more and more of them every day. My heart broke thi morning when one of the station spoke of Jorge Gonzalez, a 20 year old marine staff seargent tht was killed on Sunday and left behind his wife and a two week old daughter that he never saw.
No matter how I feel about our administration and it's decisions I have nothing but respect for those that are serving, and their families left to sit, watch and worry.

I am against this war, but of course, I support our troops. May they all come home alive and well and may God watch over each and everyone of them.
Twelvepole, you weren't suppose to bring bush into this.

you weren't supposed to bring Bush into this
Don't see why not...our Senators did when they voted.
The Senate unanimously approved a resolution in support of the forces. It expressed gratitude to soldiers and their families, support for Bush as commander in chief and appreciation to British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his government "for their courageous and steadfast support." The vote was 99 to 0, with Sen. Zell Miller, D-Ga., absent because of an illness in his family.

bush may be in the post of the president. But, this thread is NOT about supporting bush. It is about supporting our troops and they are 2 entirely different things.

We most likely wouldn't be posting to a support our troops if it weren't for our President. He's the one that made the call.

Excuse me, but almost half of America does not support the war, but does support the troops.
Linda, I am not even going to answer anything you post. Your incredible statements to Helen on the other post, showed your true colors and what kind of person you really are.

Sweetees give it a rest, you either support ALL the troops or you don't... plain and simple... feel free to edit your posts if you can't deal with President Bush being COMMANDER IN CHIEF...
(Borillar is that you?) hmmmm 16 posts since August of 2002, me smells a dupe ID poster... LOL

Of course, I don't have to support ALL of our troops. That is a stupid statement. I support all of our boys out there. Everyone of them. But, no, I don't support the so-called commander in chief.
And Gee, I don't support bush, yet, my own son is over there fighting.
Go figure.

Sweetees - Look calamity is having a demonstration.....FIRST one I've even attended. I'm just doing as is done in the anti-war 'peace' demonstrations.....I'm demonstrating for our troops, our President, our allies, etc. Just like some protestors support different agendas. You only want to dmonstrate for our troops? I don't have a problem with that. But please don't try to change my agenda...[who I wish to include in my demonstration]. Thank you.

Ok then, but don't be telling me who I support and can't... President Bush is part of the "Troops" you don't have to like it, but that is a FACT.
Good for your son... may the good Lord bring him home safe after we finish our mission...

Not the females, though, eh?
I join you, calamity, is supporting ALL of troops (boys, girls, officers, commanders, etc).
May they ALL come home to open arms and a country that appreciates their efforts and sacrifices.

We can support our troops and at the same time not support George Bush.

Twelve, not true. I support the troops that volunteer to put their lives on the line for others. Period.

twelvepole:
Although curiously new to posting and highly politically active today, I do NOT think that sweetees is Borillar.
I bow to the greatness of others posting here who are much more proficient at pulling off the mask of the lone ranger but here was my hint:
Excuse me, but almost half of America does not support the war, but does support the troops
who would post such exaggerated nonsense?

sweetees - yet, my own son is over there fighting. May your son return to your loving arms as quickly as humanly possible.....as I hope for all who are serving their country...in every part of the world. This has to be one of the most stressful times of your life, I'm sure.
