If the UN worked together and showed resolve against Saddam Hussein, this war could've been avoided. The UN deserves absolutely no part of postwar Iraq. A US-style government should be installed and only US and UK and Iraqi companies should be allowed to rebuild Iraq.

And Iraq should pay the US and UK for the cost of this war.

Isn't the kind of like voluteering to mow the neighbors lawn and then sending them a bill?

Iraq will pay over the next generation to Halliburton and their cronies.

Halliburton hasn't bid on a contract to rebuild Iraq.

Not only should the UN stay out of Iraq, it should be removed from New York too.

Halliburton Co. subsidiary Kellogg, Brown & Root does have a contract to rebuild Iraq along with other US firms.

No, I think it's more like cleaning up a pool of toxic waste in the neighbor's back yard and then sending them a bill.

Iraq is a country rich in natural resources. They can afford the bill.

Union Carbide holds the record for the toxic waste analogy.

Remember Bhopal.

Oh But it wasn't USA's UC, it was their subsidiary UCI.

Similarly, It ain’t US that has been Killing Arabs over these past years,
It’s been the entity they helped to create and supported …….Saddam.

So now you are there, “cleaning up”… ‘other people’s mess’.?????? And you want the victims to pay for it.
You're too kind!

Austy,
Who killed more Indians then John Wayne?

Union Carbide.

Before you get your chest puffed up, Check and see why the accident happened and who was at fault. Yes, It was an American owned company and It was running under the laws and conditions of India.

Amen,
Reverend Colin

I would prefer the UN in the post-war IRAQ

The US has a very poor record in installing Governments...

Panama
Columbia
South Korea
etc...etc...etc

It both boldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."

Halliburton and their cronies did not have to bid on a contract. It was "awarded" by the White House for their long and faithful service(campaign contributions).

Other contractors didn't have a chance.....

HAVEN'T YOU BEEN READING THE NEWS! This stuff is months OLD!
