"The Weasels [France, Germany and Russia] want the United Nations to play a 'central' role in the reconstruction of Iraq. President Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair have offered the United Nations a 'vital' role.
The difference is this: A 'central' role means running the operation.

While I'm aware we will need help in getting things settled down in Iraq, not to mention financial help, I sure hope we don't cave in and let them [those three] have any 'say' in this process of beginning to turn Iraq over to the Iraqi's. I really hope there's a way to do this ourselves or with the allies that did stand by us and support us. At least until we can get the oil flowing so that it can benefit the Iraqi people. [Keeping fingers crossed here]

I would like to see America do it all on their own, & spend lots of money doing it.
The rest of us can keep an eye on them and complain, encouraging them to change their tact, and spend lots of money doing it.

Austbounty, if you're so darn smart, why aren't you working at the UN rather than wasting your marvelous diatribes here?

Did The coalition of the willing go to Iraq for the sake of
Midwifery,
Democracy,
Safety,
Freedom,
Oil,
Israel,
Religion,
Racism,
Power,
Economics,
Or because of a combined push by a number of those ‘special interest groups’.
Yes a vital roll no doubt.
