What is the story with this advertisement on vendio for an all-weasel deck of cards which includes a card of Senator Byrd -- an individual with a distinguished record of service to America? This ad is the most offensive thing I have seen on this site for a while and I think it has to go. I am a patriotic American. I believe it is patriotic to believe in the right to dissent.
This should be a sponsor for the Rush Limbaugh show, not for Vendio. It's just my opinion, but I still believe in fighting for the right to have one. How does it sit with the rest of you? Thanks.

No. I was referring to a pop-up ad that my brother and I saw on the screen after he finished a listing. It was advertising an all weasel deck of cards, which included, among others, Senator Byrd. I don't think it was a joke. If it was, it sure wasn't funny -- at least not to me.

I don't see it. I have scrolled through the adds and there is only...Earthlink, Dollar Day's International LLC, Ebay, wholesale products.com. and Roden Surplus Imports.
If I try to click on one of the wholesale ads, it doesn't work...Maybe my earthlink account is blocking the ad.

I too find this banner ad to be an appalling attempt to dehumanize and ridicule any and all that dare to criticize the dangerous self serving foriegn policy of the present administration...billions and billions to Cheneys Halliburton etc. To me, the "weasels" of this deck of cards are the real patriots, rather than the corrupt politicians who wrap themselves in the American flag, while they use the power of our country to enrich themselves and their cronies! History will prove who the real weasels are!!

It is too bad they had to include Jimmy Carter on those too. He has done a lot for Habitat. It is also too bad Vendio had to run the ad. Maybe they could stick with ads
that don't offend anyone.
But this is a different country. We are no longer able to speak out against our leaders without being called unpatriotic, we are no longer supposed to show disrespect for those who do not warrant respect.
We are getting closer to Hitler's Germany all the time or to Joe McCarthy's America.

Glad to Oblige... aposter... Jimmy Carter was one of the main reasons I did post that thread... my disgust for that poor excuse of a president will probably never go away until he is worm food...
Senator Byrd was a good orator... at one time, but at one time he also as a member of the KKK, so things do change...
